  • This happens every once in a while...I realize that everything I do is pretty much stupid, and start slowing down...not getting anything done. Maybe if I get out more it'll help...starting to do nothing but stare at this damn screen looking at random ****...

So...what're you guys doing? I'm just sitting here, trying to decide if I should get a job or not since I'm tired of sitting my ass around here...

  • Don't worry, just do. The worries and thoughts will then fade easily. Being productive, even if it's a little thing, will help you feel much better. It helps to take it a step at a time instead of always looking at the big goal. Relish in the little victories. And relish in the failures that help you try again and learn to be a better person.

Get a job. Knowing that you have that responsibility and handle it well does wonders for your self-esteem.

  • And if you can't get a job, try volunteering for something you care about. You still get the self-esteem boost.

I was in the same boat until I started working. Sure having a job can seem like a hassle at times, but it gives you a goal, occupies your time, and depending on what you do it forces you to interact with people. That tends to raise your mood, oddly enough. It's nice.

  • I don't see why you don't get a job if you're tired of sitting around. It'd probably be for the best, and help occupy yourself.

Take it as a new approach and a fresh start in life.

  • I know exactly how you feel, I get depressed all the time because my plans for college fell through so I have to plan again and I am trying to get a job in the meantime but I get no calls back. It sucks sitting around having nothing to do, but just do what makes you happy until you do have something to occupy your time. Also, once you have the money coming in, I think life will seem different. Good luck in all your endeavors! =) (Sorry if we're not familiar, but we share a common feeling)
