  • Does anyone know how to fall back asleep after getting up at night or how to stay asleep? Also how do I stop being depressed? I thought it would be better to just ask direct questions rather than have them hidden in a huge rant.

  • Staying asleep:
    • Try to keeps things in a schedule, go to bed at an exact time and wake up at that time no matter how much sleep you've gotten.
    • Never take naps. Ever.
    • If possible try and go outside to do something before sleeping.
    • Make sure your bed is set up for sleeping well before you're planning on going to bed. Otherwise you'll wake yourself up a bit getting it ready before bed.

    Depression:
Keep yourself occupied with a single task. Don't pick something too difficult and don't pick something that is more than you can handle. Try drawing or running or something like that. Something small that you can handle or do in your spare time, but also something you can see your progress in.
Also talk. Talk to someone about what it is that's causing you to feel like that. It only sounds like a small thing but it's probably the biggest.

  • he's right about talking. it might be hard, but talking to people, about anything, helps a lot. sometimes it's hard because you just don't want to talk and you feel like maybe you don't need anyone, but don't believe that for a minute. you do need people, and it's something i still haven't quite grasped.

You can stop being depressed by thinking something along the lines of "I need to stop being depressed". That's a good starting point (sounds obvious but it took me a while to come round to it). It's never as bad as you think it is, and even if it is, then your friends and family are always there to help you.

Coming back to IRC with us guys maybe? ^^ I miss you there.
