    • I have been saving up some money for a laptop, but now, when I am close to purchasing on, I have no idea what to buy. Apple or Dell? Mini or regular? Which type, what is perfect for me? I really dont know, I need some help...

    Dual Boot is a feature introduced in Mac OS X Leopard which allows you to install a Windows operating system and run it on your Mac.

    • Well, that would be nice, since I have been using Windows all my life, but I have been very interested in the Mac. What is the difference between the two (other than interface/programs)?

    • I used both and to me, they're not different from one another other than interface and programs. I'm not a tech person, though. XD

    Anyways, maybe get a Mac. I hear they're better for web browsing and schoolwork. Plus, at leas for now, no viruses. :P

    • Oh, there are viruses, just not many because it's the inferior (population-wise) OS so no one's bothering to write them.

    Aaanyway the only advice I can really give is stay away from HP because while they may have good prices, their parts are cheap and prone to breaking which doesn't go well with their horrible customer support. :>

    • I'm running a COMPAQ (owned by HP) Presario C700 on 2 Gb RAM with Windows Vista Home Premium. Runs like a dream most of the time. Only times it hasn't were when I was being an idiot and running it so long it overheated.
