Hi, my name is average. They call me that because I'm nothing special, the way I act, the strength of my brain, and the way I've led my life are all quite regular. I grew up in modest means, I am of average height, not overweight, but not under either. I have a couple of friends, and one best friend. I've never won any Grammies, and I can play guitar pretty okay. I have a few hobbies, but nothing I stand out at. My teachers always gave me steady grades, but nothing straight or "A like" on a regular basis. I drive a pretty okay car, work a lame job, and struggle my way through college. I like animals, and they like it when I feed them I guess. I am not beautiful to everybody, but I'm not ugly. I'm not naturally smart, but I can work things out.
I am average. But does that limit my potential? No. I can achieve what I want to achieve, but by being average. My voice doesn't stand out, and my eyes don't shine, but I can both speak and see. Only one of my hands is strong but I may still write. I exist and therefore my potential is limitless. I was handed this body and this life, but I choose where it goes, I choose who these lips shall kiss, what stones my feet shall tread, and when my body shall move. I am average, I am expected, but does that limit my potential? No. I will be who I desire to be. Average is a state of fallacy.
