I am going to quickly rant about something I, myself, think is a horrible aspect in human nature. Again, feel free to call me whatever word you want because I will look immature and uneducated swine when I'm talking about this, I'm sure. So I'll be kick and in hopes that I at least sound like I know what I'm talking about...
Anyway.
Honestly. I hate it when people misuse the word retard. That is not a nice name to call anyone. People who are actually retarded can't do anything on their own and need to be constantly looked after. They are in group homes and are not able to do the things we are able to do. Calling someone a retard, be it insult, a joke, or out of anger, I don't care, THAT IS A HORRIBLE THING TO SAY TO SOMEONE, YOU HEAR ME? I don't care. You do not say that to anyone. You don't call anyone a retard, even someone who is actually mentally retarded. I know, I know, choice of words, but still, that is a horrible thing to call a person. I don't call anyone this.
It is very misused, and my mom misuses it like there is no tomorrow. Then again, my mom uses the offensive word for "gay" too, but I'll never, ever, ever type that word in my entire life. Ever. It is disgusting. Anyway, I am in that kind of environment. I am disgusted when people misuse the word retard, but...
There's nothing I can do about it. I'll again put myself in my own place. I am human. I am not the Master of the Universe and I cannot control what people say, so no matter what, all I can do is rant about this. Humans are stubborn and I don't think they'll change even if the entire half population complained about people misusing words.
Okay, and I'm not different. I used to misuse the word gay during a phase I was going through. I used gay for everything. I misused the word so much that it pretty much made me a horrible person (which, I already knew in the long run).
I don't know. "Gay" used to be a term to mean happy. Then it became the term for "stupid" which is how to misuse the word. But I'm not going to talk about that because...this is territory I don't feel like covering, to be honest. I'll leave sexuality out of this.
Then there's the filthy N word. =\ Okay? Why would you call anyone the n word? Even if it were a joke? That word is pretty racist. I refuse to type it, and you know what word I'm talking about, and it's extremely filthy. Why do people even use that word in the first place... it's racist. But, eh... who am I to judge?
I am not God. I'm pretty much a piece of dirt, so I can't change anything. Humans will continue to misuse words all the time.
I wonder why I wasted air writing this in the first place.
