Well, since I have no interest in winning either of the Hoenn remake games, and since my answers would probably have zero chance of winning anyway, I present to you my snarky answers to the speculation contest questions:
Who will be the protagonists? Peggy from USA Prime Credit and Rita Repulsa.
What role will Wally play? Evil team leader, which will be Team Enron. He'll break Jeff Skilling out of jail and use secret occult techniques to resurrect Ken Lay from the dead and appoint them as his direct lieutenants. Andrew Fastow was a traitor so they didn't bother recruiting him.
What roles do you think Juan, Wallace, and Steven will fill?
Juan: MIA since he's serving prison time for a mortgage fraud scheme.
Wallace: MIA, possibly in Belize, and possibly still running drugs.
Steven: Pastor/cult leader at a megachurch. A sidequest involves investigating his finances because he sure as heck won't be open about them.
Will there be any other League-related changes?
Champion Nascour.
Elite Four Chain Chomp.
Gym Leaders Trudly and Folly.
Will Scott make a return? If so, what as? High-rise residence hall at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
What will Rayquaza's role in the story be? The manager at the sleazy Motel 6 on the outskirts of town. You'll need to go there, comprehend what it says, and rent a room by the hour in order to stop one of Wally's/Team Enron's schemes.
Assume Kyogre and Groudon receive Mega Evolutions. What do you think
— their types / abilities / signature moves will be? The same as before, they'll just be stronger and uglier. And dressed in tuxedos. And wearing monocles. Which helps to disguise some of the added ugliness.
— their roles in the games will be? Used car salesmen. On weekends they're "start and park" NASCAR drivers though usually they end up wrecking each other by the third or fourth lap anyways.
— of their Megastones being the Red/Blue Orbs? Or will they be something else? They don't need Mega Stones. To trigger their Mega Evolution, all one needs to do is force them to eat 25 Chicken McNuggets within a 10-minute timeframe.
What will the Version Exclusive Pokemon be? Same as in the originals.
Will Generation IV - VI Pokemon be available in the wild? No. They have better places to be. Then again, downtown Detroit is a better place than Hoenn.
What new Mega Evolutions will be introduced? Mega Oldsmobile Omega, obviously. Most likely mega forms for GM's other RWD X-Body cars (but not the FWD ones even though those are crap and probably needed a Mega evo more.)
Where will the stones for the new Mega Evolutions be hidden? In a decrepit building with a gigantic neon sign out front reading "MEGA STONES HERE: LOW LOW PRICES!!! ASK FOR JOE"
New areas to be introduced? Tiksi Branch in Russia. Also one of the travel plazas located along the New Jersey Turnpike.
Ideas for post-game content? Rick Rolling Archie and Maxie. Forcing Groudon to convert all of Routes 132-134 to land mass and constructing big-box retail stores on the newly created land. Finding and stripping the title from false champions in various regions. Finding out what the dadgum fox ACTUALLY says. Getting Dateline NBC to investigate whether Battle Frontier battles are rigged.
