remember when i was into mlp

I do, too.

You know, I recently noticed that my interests have radically changed over the course of my life. I can't remember everything I was ever into, but I remember when I was into MLP, Homestuck, Touhou, OS-tan, preschool cartoons, Doctor Who, and maybe at one point, Sherlock. My favorite thing at one point was the magical girl genre, and I believe there was a time I was possibly into glitches.

...Funny how I no longer care about Doctor Who anymore, fell out of Homestuck almost completely, and am really uncomfortable with MLP these days.

Right now, I'm super into idols, which I wasn't expecting to ever happen, if you ask me. Perhaps it's because I didn't used to be into music at all? Probably. Towards my later teens, I suddenly got into classical music, after wanting to know the name of this song I could never find, which turned out to be In the Hall of the Mountain King.

It's bizarre. My interests are changing as I grow older, the things I used to love I don't even really pay much attention to or follow anymore. My core interests never really changed, such as Pokemon, Writing and animanga, but sometimes I wonder if I'll lose interests in those, too.

You never know.

I think the cool thing is about growing up is that you notice that some things do stick with you, even if you don't adore them with the same amount of zeal as you once did.

I'm not "into" Sherlock, but I sure do want to watch it when it comes out.

For me, something that has stuck with me since I was 12 was Lord of the Rings. I was captured by the movies, but then I learned about the books and the universe that Tolkien had created. I learned about the magic of world-building and that is likely something that will never cease to amaze me.

mlp is still amazing. :) season 5 had the best songs of the entire series.
