Earlier today I was getting garbled up sound from my earbuds trying to watch stuff on YouTube. I've figured that it was just my buds were on their last legs, so I got myself another set. But as soon as I tried them out, I still got garbled up sound.

That could only translate into this: Something must be wrong with the actual headphone jack. I'm guessing that the jack itself is broken now.

So, it looks like my laptop's on it's last legs, not my earbuds.

So, is there a way to fix a broken headphone jack? Or am I between a rock & a hard place with this one?
