So, next Wednesday marks the start of the London Film Festival, and that means about two weeks of doing nothing in my spare time but watching new films that have played at the major festivals of the world (Cannes, Venice, Toronto etc.) Naturally, this is my favourite time of year. Because of this - as well as other real life commitments - my activity will decrease notably during this time (hence my posting binges that will occur for the next few days). I'm not going anywhere, though, and I've made sure that things like the Claim threads in C&M get updated fairly regularly. You'll still see me around, just not as frequently.
That being said, this is also the first time I've attended the festival and not had to write about the films I've seen. The previous two years, I wrote about what I saw for the LSE student paper, The Beaver. Now that I've graduated and haven't got a job in journalism, there's no need for me to write about this... and yet I kind of want to.
Below is the list of films that I'm going to see, as well as links to their IMDb pages, so you can see what they're about. I'll probably do Twitter reviews of all of them, but if you want a more substantial review of any of them (about 200 words or so), just let me know in the comments section.
