I've finally went through with my commitment of donating to this lovely community, & thus, for my first blog post, I'll go over the road to me getting supportership.
So, a few months ago, mom & I have put both of our bank accounts together to buy a house in the hopes that the both of us would move in with my half-sister & her family. Thus, with that plan in full motion for the most part, I've figured, hey, why not loosen my purse-strings a little bit?
Some time later, I've learned that one of my PC friends got supportership by linking her bank account to PayPal, & thought, "Hmm, maybe I could do the same..." So, one time, I tried to open a PayPal account linked to my bank account. Turns out, PayPal couldn't do that, as they claim that my bank denied the existence of my account in there. That's when my blood started boiling over, because number one: it made absolutely no sense at all, especially considering that I've inputted all the correct numbers over there. That aside, I decided to go another route: A debit card. A few days after applying for one at my bank, it came in my mail. I had a pretty tough time activating it, but I did manage to get that through the ATM.
With my debit card, I thought that it's now a matter of using that card to donate, as after all, it's similar to a credit card, isn't it?? Turns out, that my card got turned down once I tried. I almost flipped out, because I was running out of options, & I had thought that I had to turn to outside help from another PC supporter to donate in my stead. But, then I've figured, that I could use that card as a use for PayPal. They did accept it, & I did a few test purchases with it to comfirm that it's working. Those included 5$ for my Steam account, & 50$ worth of MC for MechWarrior Online (that I'll discuss in a later blog.) With those purchases gone through, PC supportership is within my grasp! I've then used my Paypal to donate 24$ last night, & praise the holy lords, that went through. & thus, it was a matter of "Hurry up & wait" before I got my green name & a lovely tier 4 supportership.
So yeah, I've gone through quite a bit of hassle & frustration t oget my supportership status in PC. With that said, Rukario had better be grateful for this...!
