Finished my profile for PC's Prettiest Profile Contest not too long ago (not too late to enter and vote. Anyone can this time around.
This time, I chose too theme it around Ryuuguu Komachi, an idol group from the series, The iDOLM@STER. Ryuuguu Komachi literally translates to "Beauties of the Dragon Palace" which gives the group a royal theme. Violet, the most regal of all the colors, suits their theme perfectly and is thus the most dominant color of their outfits. Additionally, brighter shades of violet start to become indistinguishable from shades of pink, which is a major color of the lighting during their performances and the lining of their outfits. Continuing with the theme of regality, gold is another color associated with royalty. A small gold medallion with the shape of a dragon is one of the main drawing points of their headgear. Additionally, the individual members of Ryuuguu Komachi were not randomly chosen out of the idols of 765PRO. The trait they all share is in their names which all contain a character relating them to the sea. Thus, blue and images of the sea are commonplace within their performances. As an aside, below the main purple skirts of their outfits, an additional light blue garment is worn to send an image of the sea.
I tried to reflect these aspects within my profile design. The purple takes center stage in the gradients used for all the major headers. A light yet bright shade of pink is used as the main background to add on to the effect of lighting that it would have at a performance. To further complement the lining their outfits, a hotter shade of pink was used for the borders in my design. A light shade of blue is used as bottom support in the same way light shades of blue are used in Ryuuguu's bottoms. Too make sure that the viewer is not drowning in color, a shade of off-white is used within the main content areas in a use of blank space. To top it all off, a shade of goldenrod is used as the color of links to complement the theme in the same way as the gold medallions.
I'm not completely satisfied with the result and it could be done better, but this is the current showing of my profile making ability.Go enter and vote. Not for me necessarily, just VOTE WHEN THE TIME COMES.
