HELP PLEASE. (Bunnies inside)

Okay so I've had my rabbit Kenny for quite a few years now, and it's time to trim his nails. My dad used to do this, but now it's my turn and I'm clueless. I've tried several times in the past and every time he's gotten so scared and jumpy that I had to stop since I was afraid of hurting the poor thing. But because of this, they've grown so long and I feel really bad for him D: So I need to know; how do you trim a rabbit's nails without them jumping all over the place? Also I promised a bunny:

You hold them so they can't struggle out. You trim a dog's nails in the same way.

Wrap it in a towel so it feels more secure and is easier to handle. Trim in small amounts, maybe every day for a few days in a row with a little each time so that way you're not as worried about hurting it. If you do manage to accidentally hit the quick, don't panic, it's the same as you getting a cut and won't cause any lasting damage to the rabbit. Just put some flour on the tip to stop the bleeding (or some commercial blood-stopper stuff if you have it) and be more careful with the next one. Don't be afraid to split up the trimming into multiple sessions if your rabbit is seriously freaking out.

Owned a rabbit for 7 years and never learnt how to do this; such a fail haha.

I was kinda violent to my rabbit when I was trimming his nails. A strong grip of it's leg worked well. It was stressed but it worked and he eventually got used to it.

It doesn't matter what type, it just slows/stops the bleeding. Just put some on your finger and dab it on the nail, haha.

Oh also this works on cats and to an extent dogs so it might work on rabbits - try scruffing them (grabbing the loose skin on the back of their neck in your hand and pulling on it). For cats it calms them down because that's how their mothers carried them, haha.

We managed to cut the front two paws. Gonna leave the hind legs till tomorrow so he doesn't freak out even more :x

With my rabbit most of his hutch was on concrete so just him running around on it kept his nails short.

My rabbit won't even let me stroke her let along cut her nails ;__; unloved.

This is the same deal with me and my parakeet's feather trimming. Good thing they got mauled by a hawk some time ago. pffff
