Quite frankly yes. If you have the chance and the ability to change your current situation, but yet you still uphold that mentality, then it is your fault.

Change won't come if you don't do anything about those problems.

With depression what you need to do is go get help and force yourself to get help.

With thinking yourself ugly you need to first get rid of your depression and realize that a lot of how people perceive your appearance stems from a) how well you groom yourself and b)your confidence and how you dress. The rest generally comes from their own personal tastes.

Also people - especially in the teenage years of life - can be ridiculously petty so pay no mind to them and try to avoid being ridiculously petty yourself When you're being put down by others offline, they're usually insecure about something about themselves.
