  • I picked up my Volcanion through a code today. Volcanion is quite the cool Pokemon, by the way! Steam Eruption is amazing, holy hell. What I didn't know is about the serial code thing. I mean, I knew about it, but when did they make this a thing? Back during B2/W2 it wasn't...

I remember the Dragonite Gamestop event from long ago. This was all the way back during the Diamond and Pearl days when you had to walk into the store and get the Pokemon that way. ...Nowadays you have to pick up a paper at the game store and input a code? Well... that's interesting.

But I got my cool Volcanion. I'm probably going to go pick up more cards to give codes away since I don't want to get another for my other games, lol.

  • Like Nah said, serial code events have become a common occurrence during 6th Gen. Maybe 7th Gen will see the end of them if QR Code events are going to become prominent.
