  • More rambling....

Player-prespective art for the Ruins of Alph had an Unown in it. Music is neat and fitting, IMO.

The Kabuto puzzle was very easy... only 4 pices to move this time. Pressing tiles rotated them, moved via dragging. Once beaten I activated the unown, and had an NPC give me a Key Item which records what Unown I get - basically the same as the Pokedex extension in GSC for Unowns. (Even with the 'messages' - e.g. for the 'J' Unown, the word 'Join' is shown).

Crystal-additions to the Ruins of Alph also remain, it seems. Need an escape rope to test/find out if there were any changes though, methinks...

West of that, got myself a Mareep, encountered a Wooper as well. In daytime, Hoppip and the such began to appear.

The box seems quite easy to use with the stylus once I learn what the options (e.g. deposit, move, etc) are.

Sprout Tower - music was quieter than in GSC, also nice... one can hear the creaking of the tower in the background. Trainers have the exact same teams as before, and items seem to be the same in the same places as before as well. Top level is fliped though (i.e. person on the left hand side in gsc is on the right now, from memory). Silver says stuff and uses and Escape Rope, I get one myself, and beat the final person easily.

Went to the gym - Mareep with Thundershock proves very useful. Two trainers there were easy - amused that you really can just walk around them. Teams for those two again the same as GSC, so Falkner is the first difference. Mareep was kinda an unfair advantage, tbh. Pidgey tended to use Sand-Attack though, and Pidgeotto would Roost of any damage easily enough, but in the end an easy-enough victory (Growl + Static kicking in FTW).

Went to the Ruins of Alph again and used the Escape Rope - worked. Got four items (one a Rare candy, some powders (e.g. EnergyPowder, I'm guessing), and maybe a berry? from memory same as from gsc), and fell down the hole. Message in the next room was something like 'watashaghi ighizoku kotobakokoni kiza?u' (was unsure of the 2nd-last one and only looked briefly). =/

Off to get Togepi egg next, sometime... and then south towards Azelea Town!
