Staff is probably going to think I have two heads for this haha.

Hello again! Been awhile since I posted one of these. Too long, to be perfectly blunt. As some of you may have noticed, I do not have a blue Moderator title next to my name. What ever happened to Matt? What is he doing now? Is he on a leave of absence, or is he gone for good? Many questions are probably going through y'all's heads, and rightfully so (or I'm just being really self centered and no on has any questions but meh, I'll answer them nonetheless!)

Like I told staff in my leave of absence thread, I have decided to step down from staff and my slot as Video Games' Moderator. No, this isn't just a short leave of absence from the position, but a long term one. As I've told staff, I've hit a pivotal point in my life where I am transitioning into adulthood and I want to focus on the things in my life - as in my non-Internet life - and foster and grow on those things. I'm in the prime of my career, have an excellent job, and most importantly, am in love with the girl of my dreams and will hopefully marry her someday. As such, PC was draining me from the relationships in my life and distracting me from what mattered most. So, in order for me to continue to build on these important things in my life, I took the initiative in realizing that it was time for me to step down from Video Games.

Don't get me wrong by the way. I absolutely love everything about PC. I have no ill will towards anyone here, as the decision was more one where I just didn't have the time to fulfill the duties of a Moderator. Some people may find that hard to believe, but as I have a daily schedule where I am almost always doing something between 5 AM and 2 AM the next day, it's hard to plan events and create continuous discussion on a daily basis. I tried doing that for a good three to four months and that was a really, really difficult thing to do.

This brings up another important question: so Matt, if you're done with your duties on staff, does that mean you are going to be done with PC in general? Well, the answer to that is a yes and a no. Essentially, I'm probably not going to be as active posting around the forums as I used to be. However, I am going to return to my passion of what drew me back to the site in '14 and what I haven't been able to devote may attention to these last few months: blogging. That's right, the Daily Bloggity will now be coming back in full force. As much as I loved being on staff, I was very discouraged that I couldn't blog as much as I would have liked. Admittedly, my blog was a major reason why I was modded in the first place, and I was discouraged to being negligible to the blog once I had worked my way into the position. So, as I've said, this is going to be an excellent opportunity to return to my roots and to the thing I just love doing...and occasionally play Mafia games here and there (hurry the fuck up with the new one Gunners haha.)

So there you have it! Matt will still be on this site, but will be focusing more on his blog than actively posting around the site. I found there were times when I was becoming too attachive to my phone when it came to modding, so I believe that this is a happy medium and middle ground that can be met in terms of activity on the site. Let's face it: I love some of you guys way too much to just up and walk away from the site. This will be the 221st entry of the Daily Bloggity when it is published; let's see if we can go 365 straight days with blogging eh? Anyways, have any of you ever tried to leave PC?
