Sometimes New 3DS makes me confused. (Not in the name, though.)

  • Back then, when New Nintendo 3DS is announced, many news pointing out the confusion will lie in the name itself, being a 'New' Nintendo 3DS, they think it may cause problems when parents are asking for new 'New' 3DS. Some even sparked a contest about the better name that could be implemented to the New 3DS (it's just for fun though). But it's not that kind of confusion that I'll be discussing here.

For me, what making me confused is this. Like its XL predecessors, New 3DS XL will have more battery life, and that's the factor that I usually prioritize too, the reason why I kept using Nintendo DS Lite as my DS console back then. However, the normal New 3DS will have a nice color arrangement of X, Y, A and B button a la SNES (even though I didn't own SNES console), plus it will have faceplates that can be switchable, which is dubbed as 'Kisakae' Plates in Japanese, and this is also the spotlight in this recent ads of New 3DS:

Nintendo stars, featuring Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Cuteness overload!

I just hope that someday I'll find the ideal New 3DS to buy with, no matter if it was normal New 3DS or New 3DS XL. And if you're planning to get one, which variant will you getting? You can discuss it via comments here.
