Why abnegation?

First of all, usernames may not be the most important thing in the world, but they do mean something. Even if it's as simple their favourite Pokémon, or as complex as a word that represents a life experience. Regardless of how insignificant the username has been to most people, I'd wager it has never been easy to pick one you like most.

For me, I've gone through quite a few over the years. The one that most represents who I am and what I'm like is "stranger". One that personifies the world in my head I like to escape to is "Link", since I'm a big Zelda fan. However, the one that people recognise me by is "Abnegation". Usernames serve a purpose, and that purpose is to allow others to recognise you. For me, that's abnegation. So I had my fun changing around a little, but I'll stick with the fan favourite for now.

Also for those of you that have noticed my absence, I've been on an LoA for a few months. I'll be back at the end of next week.

That's because the name suits you so perfectly. You will always be Abnegation to me.

"I'm the same man that you've always known me as, but far lazier. That's why I've not got a capital any more."

It actually looks cooler with a small a. :v

Just one question, was there any particular reason you used a lower case 'a' instead of an uppercase one? Just curious.

Capital letters bother me out of context. Abnegation is not my name, it is not a person, place, or thing. I am not using it in the beginning of a sentence, and I expect it to be used in passing more than notably.

Aside from that, capital A looks like poo.
