I missed my 2nd PC anniversary just like I missed my first one. Oh well.
In any case, I finished White yesterday. Before you go 'Y U NO FINISH A WEEK AGO' remember I live in New Zealand, where BW was only released on Thursday 10th. I took my time going through the game, so I just got through the Elite 4* on the bus yesterday afternoon. (*Note that this is what I mean when I say 'finished'. I know there's still more.)
Chandelure, Lilligant and Throh were the star players throughout the E4. Chandelure basically handled Psychic and Ghost by himself, and Lilligant provided support with Sleep Powder and a bit of extra damage. Throh steamed through the Dark Elite, and then I spammed Bulk Up and Revenged the crap out of the Fighting Elite. I went through a lot of Revives there, I can tell you.
I caught Zekrom first go. Dragon Claw from Fraxure (crit), Sleep Powder from Lilligant and three Ultra balls. No sweat. N's Pokemon fell like corn before the scythe, but Ghetsis took a couple of goes.
So aside from the abovementioned Fraxure, Lilligant, Chandelure and Throh, my team also has a Gigalith, Samurott and Zebstrika (yes, that's seven. I rotate them.). And now Zekrom, kindanotreally.
On the whole, I think the game was good. Some of the graphics were a little dodgy in places - like the zoomed-in backsprites - but that was kinda unavoidable, I guess. I love the C-Gear, and how it lets you trade Pokemon straight from the box. The Entralink feature is pretty neat too. Just about all the seniors in the Strategic Card Games Club (read: Yu-Gi-Oh and MAGIC: The Gathering) at school got it when it came out as well, so there's a huge connection-fest every lunchtime in the Japanese classroom. We battle, trade, and generally interact in the way that Pokemon intended for us to do ever since they started implementing wireless. It's just much easier now. I managed to have a battle and trade Pokemon in between E4 members . . . weird much?
Also, I'm a member of the invitation-only Academic Scholars' group at school now. Big whoop. Probably the most exciting 'real' thing to happen in my life lately. [/ego]
Hrmm . . . been watching IS <Infinite Stratos>. Many people hate it, but I think it's fantastic. *glomps Charlotte*
I've also started drawing again (again), as of last night. Trying to do it on GIMP via mouse now.
UPDATE: Finished it. Could be better, especially the head, but it's still one of my better drawings. Going to draw my League-beating team as well and make a wallpaper of it.
On second thoughts, Pokemon are too hard to draw. *tried and failed* Will try drawing more people. Maybe Leaf, Dawn and/or May?
