I hate valentine's day.

Seriously, what a pointless, irritating day.

I bet it isn't so pointless now that you have me.

I'd hate to disagree, so I won't. (However, it isn't the most pointless day ever, I can think of a few.)

Just go off and ruin everyone's day. :P

If you love yourself why don't you use today to appreciate and treat yourself to a nice cup of java and some chocolate? :3

I can't think of anything with a more pointless celebration.

If you're lucky enough to have somebody to love, then you should treat them like it's Valentine's Day every day.

The current tradition of Valentine's Day is quite inappropriate anyway. On February 14th, Saint Valentine was stoned to death by an angry mob.

I'm sure nothing says 'I love you' like a brutal execution.

I really don't get your logic either. Everyone has someone they love, whether it be a dog, cat, their mom, their friends, etc. And if they REALLY don't, then it's a day to sit back and reflect and appreciate how you can learn to love yourself more. The other day I went to the coffee shop with friends and treated them to whatever they wanted for valentines day. I'm obviously not going to do that every day; I don't have that much money.. but it's a day you show your appreciation to those you love in out of the box ways.. because why not? It's not like I think of my friends less any other day.. and I'm not gonna love 'em less any other day, but seriously it's just a day to make sure you plan and do something nice with those you care about. Such as treating yourself to icecream, going to the movies with a lover, or just spending some time with family or friends- you don't have to do anything, but it gives people with busy lives some initiative.

So honestly I don't see how it's so pointless.

EVERY holiday is pointless when you're single and bitter. Seriously.
