  • I swear, every single nintendo product is like, the most sturdy and lon lasting thing to exist. I mean, I've had so much crap happen to all my nintendo stuff, and not once have I had to replace any of it, and why? Because it's just so freaking sturdy, and awesome! Over the past years, I've had my nintendo 64 burnt, literally, my wii dropped to the floor from a high distance, and just yesterday my 3DS accelgor'd out of my pocket and smashed to the ground, and they're all okay! :D

  • My SNES has survived my uncle, grandpa, me, my brother, three stepbrothers, and a plethora of cousins.
    And cats.
The only thing that is bad is that the Start button on one of the controllers is sticky.

  • Behold, Nintendium.

But it's freaking awesome that Nintendo's products can weather the tempests of time. I would say that the system that has withstood the most physical abuse would probably be my GameBoy Advance SP. The battery is noticeably draining, but the little handheld still works. :3

I'm like extremely careful with my consoles though (especially the Nintendo Wii, as it's relatively new and cost $250). But your scenarios seem a bit extreme, Alternative. At the least, they give me a bit more confidence in my products remaining sturdy throughout problematic events and such. XD Not that I'm planning on dropping anything anytime soon. @_@

I'm a bit scared to get a Nintendo DS Lite...I'm getting it for Pal Park and PokeShifting purposes. It seems I'll have to purchase one as soon as possible due to potential discontinuation... Down the line, I hope to get a 3DS sometime down the line, which will likely be my main system for DS games.
But yeah, back to the DS Lite...I keep on hearing horror stories about the hinges breaking. I'm worried that I'll buy one and the hinge(s) will break, meaning that I won't be able to Pal Park yet again or PokeShift, which essentially means that I would've chucked roughly $140 down the drain for nothing. :< And if it breaks, I basically have no other alternatives for buying another DS Lite... >.< I kind of wish that the Nintendium used in the DSi and DSi XL was redirected to the DS Lites instead. Now, DSi is like a cheap 3DS. >_> At least the Lite has a major feature difference...
