Ceiling Persian Does Not Approve of Being Asked to Return to Forums He Has Left Due to Hostile Administration.
Well, here's the start of my new blog series, "Ceiling Persian Does Not Approve." This first one is based on a problem I've been having recently.
About a year and a half ago, my online friend and a few of their friends started a Pokemon forum. I was reluctant to join at first, but when she stopped coming on PC, I caved in because the new forum was the only way to contact her. So, I pretended to be interested in the place, posted around, and gave off the impression that I was active.
Then, one day, I woke up, logged on, and discovered someone had made me a moderator. Without discussing it with me or asking if I even wanted the position, I was "promoted." Well, I did absolutely nothing with said mod powers, and eventually one of the administrators on the site began insulting me, both to my face and behind my back, for not using them. So, I promptly quit those forums, and began devoting more time on PC, which is a far superior community than that place could ever hope to be.
Problem is, I recently had to contact my friend, who was once again not coming on PC. Though I tried to do it ninja style (log in anonymous, send a PM, then immediately logged out), the administrator who insulted me caught wind of my 30 second return there, decided to join here, and sent me a PM with a fake "apology" and begging me to return to his site.
I promptly deleted the PM and added him to my ignore list. I am now wondering if I should have reported it. It was "borderline advertising," and I wasn't sure if it would be considered as advertising.
tl:dr: Don't insult me then come begging for me to return to your site. I'm not stupid and my memory is just fine. Besides, I'm perfectly happy here on PC.
