So after having Heart Gold for a little more than a week, and countless hours of trying to find heart scales training, I finally beat the Elite Four last night. With all of my Pokemon on my team fully evolved and all of their levels around 47, I decided to tackle to Elite pair of trainers once more, as I just wasn't able to knock them out fully before with my lower levels.
When I first got to Will, I was confident that I could knock out his whole team and I did just that, as I also did with Koga's team right after that. I had to use a couple potions and one or two revives, but that was no biggy. Next up was Bruno. I feared him a little as he caused a lot of trouble when I battled him before and his team could hit fast and hard. I thought that Noctowl would be a good choice for most of the battle, and I could use Scizor as a back up when I would need to. Well, ended up using Scizor quite quickly as Noctowl was totally obliterated by the elemental punches Bruno's Hitmonchan had to offer. And Scizor then immediately fainted from an unsuspecting Blaze Kick from Hitmonlee <.<, so I ended up having to use my other Pokemon to whittle down the health of all his other Pokemon. So after that whole display of bad battling, I headed into the next room with Scizor in the lead in hopes that he could X-Scissor her way into killing off Umbreon quickly. Thankfully, she was able to do just this, and then Politoed was able to take care of Houndoom, and the rest of Karen's Pokemon were a cakewalk.
But now I was about to face the Dragon-Taming Champion, Lance. I was quite nervous to go up against his three Dragonite's but I was hoping this time that Mamoswine would be able to seal the deal. I sent out Ampharos first to take care of Gyarados, and then Lance sent out his Lvl.50 Dragonite. I knew that it knew Fire Blast, so I couldn't send out Mamoswine to kill him. Instead, I had to use a variety of Politoed, Typhlosion, and Ampharos to somehow make this beast faint. Politoed was then able to take care of Charizard and after this, Mamoswine made me the champion of the Johto league by eliminating his other two Dragonites and his extremely fast Aerodactyl.
I had won, after 40 hours (I know I know, that's probably the longest it's ever taken somebody to beat the E4, but I was taking my time, okay? XD;;;) I could finally head over to Kanto and have time to explore once again. n_n
Long story short: I beat the Elite Four~
Oh, and that ending sequence was adorable.
I don't really feel like posting move sets right now, so I just decided to put in the pictures of my sexy Pokemon. n_0
OMG, and I'm in Kanto right now and it's so pretty :3
I'm really bad at this kind of thing :S
