No jokes; just goodbyes. I'm leaving PC. Circumstances in my offline life have led me to make this hard decision, and it's not - unlike the last time I left - the fault of anyone here. For the most part, this place is a great one to hang out in, and I love a lot of the people who call this forum home. I've rekindled old friendships and started the journey of making new ones. Hopefully some of us will still be able to talk after this... although it certainly might be harder.
In any event, I'm not going to be on PC for a while... maybe at all. I haven't decided yet. There's also the aforementioned circumstances which are going to make it harder for me to get online at all. I really hope that everyone understands that - like a breakdown of a relationship - it's not you, it's me. But I really am going away...
...That is, for a month. 'Cause that's how long I'll be gone for. :D In all seriousness, I'm going to be doing a lil' bit of traveling. Yay, me! First up, 2 weeks in the east coast of the US/Canada, where I'll hopefully be meeting up with 3 - COUNT 'EM, 3! - fellow PC members, followed by another 2 weeks in Japan, where I'll be doing all sorts of crazy stuff like sleeping in a capsule hotel, visiting onsen as well as finally trying unagi (and not salmon skin rolls).
So, erm, yeah. All of the stuff in the first two paragraphs is technically true if you add the mental suffix 'for one month' to the end of most of the sentences. But this is just my reasoning as to why you're not going to see me trying to prop up Culture & Media for the next month. If you want, you can use the comment section to try and guess which PC members I'll be meeting up with (people who know can't guess or it'll spoil the surprise!) or... not. It's your choice.
And this is already too long, and I have to go to sleep in less than 2 hours, and it's all too sudden. So, see everyone on the other side! :D
