Ash catches a Pokémon!

One has to wonder if there's any point in having a cliffhanger if it's going to be revealed in the title.

The third episode, and it's another good one. Team Rocket is already leaning towards comic relief territory here, though. Sure, they might seem slightly threatening, but after they get defeated by a Caterpie, finding respect for them is like the Village People in the changing room...I'll let you figure that one out.

It's nice to see Ash behaving as a normal trainer, though. He makes a stupid mistake but eventually succeeds, despite the fact that he manages to win basically though luck rather than skill. In a way, it's more satisfying than the more recent "Look at my incredibly complex strategy" things because it feels more realistic, more obtainable, almost. At least until you remember that a giant green caterpillar is beating up a snake, a cat and a floating mine by spitting silk at them. My ELOT is below.
