Did the Platinum release date creep up on anyone else? I swear I thought I still had another week or something until its release but suddenly it was March 21st and wait what Platinum comes out tomorrow!?
My friend and I got up early to head to the mall this morning. Well, early by our standards. I was actually up before noon which is crazy. I held us up so we missed the bus we were aiming for but we got the next one. XD; We got to EB Games about 20 minutes after the mall opened and there was a lineup. A LINEUP. :| I don't think I've ever seen a lineup at EB Games, lmao. I asked the person at the end what it was for just to make sure and he said "Pokeyman... Platinum, or something?" so I figured he was just another embarrassed gamer who was just trying to trade in a game and is stuck with all these lame Pokémon fans.
But anyway. My friend and I stood in line. And stood in line. And went over our grocery list. And stood in line. (We're so interesting, aren't we?) When we passed by the PSP section as the line snaked through the store, I noticed Metal Gear Acid 2 for $10. I haven't played the first and have only touched one game in the MGS series but... hey, $10. So I grabbed that and my friend and I had a very loud argument over the Naruto games. Something like...
Him: Oh, you know you want that Naruto game for PS2.
Me: Which one, there are two.
Him: Three, actually.
Me: No, only two. See, those two are the same game but they just have like 20 copies.
Him: No, there are thr--
Me: No, there's two. See, this one has a few copies, and that one h--
Him: No there are three.
Me: No there AREN'T. See, the--oh. Wait. That one is a sequel. Ohhh, nevermind there are three.
Him: I told you so.
Me: Yeah well it's a Naruto game, they're all the same anyway so I win. >:|
Him: ...okay fine.
Haha I'm surprised no one punched us. I'm pretty sure we were being loud and obnoxious but oh well.
So we get to the front and for the last few minutes we'd been debating whether or not to get guides with it. :( They were 20% off if you bought the game with them but only for today. I finally caved when I realized the six hundred and twenty-four page monstrosity was only $18. XD; Full pokédex and everything so I'm veeeery happy. It also has a shiny cover. AND STICKERS. And Cherrim, Bidoof, and Pikachu are all included in those STICKERS. Did I mention I was happy? I don't think I did. I'm pretty happy with it. ♥
Then off to the food court for some food and off to the grocery store for some... food. While waiting for the bus I started flipping through the guide to check it out and... and... the first page I opened to? The very first?
^ THAT. :| OMG MY GUIDEBOOK SHIPS MY FAVOURITE POKEMON. Sort of. If you know me, you know my favourite Pokémon ever are Pichu and Cherrim so for them to be on the same page, let alone in the same little blurb and so closely related... omg. XD; My friend and I just died laughing in approval. Pathetically enough that never clicked for me. XD; I've been meaning to get a Pichu with Volt Tackle for years but I've been too lazy to look into it. So I thought that was cool.
I'll admit that I haven't... played it yet. DD: I've got a Calculus midterm tomorrow night so I've been reading my ass off trying to prepare for that (I'm not ready in the least <_<). I've decided I'm not allowed to so much as put the game in my DS until that's over and done with. It's so tempting though. D: I want to plaaaay.
Well, I should head back to studying and then head to bed at a decent time tonight. :( I'll leave off with a LOVELY PICTURE of me with my new game. Haha oh god I nearly have bags under my eyes. IS THIS SEMESTER OVER YET?I'm also wearing the same shirt I was last time I took any pictures. It must be a conspiracy.
I should just start doing photo journals in here or something haha. Might make me update more. :|
EDIT: LOL I totally forgot about this part. But remember the guy in front of me? Well when we walked into the store he picked up Killzone 2 as we were walking past. That's when I really was standing there thinkin "haha, this guy probably is just embarrassed to be seen with all these dorks; I wonder why he doesn't just go to Zellers or something". When we finally got to the cashier, he offered to let my friend and I go first but I told him to go on. So he did and as he handed the guy at the register the PS3 game, he says rather quietly, "And a copy of Platinum please?" Ahahaha. :') He was there for Pokémon after all.
