I need to move on.

It's only been two weeks or so since I lost my Dad. Some people take longer to get over a loss of a loved one. I'm not one of those people. I mourn differently than others. I really can't stand to be other people when sad stuff is happening and I want to be by myself.

Anyway, my Dad wanted to be cremated when he died and he didn't want to have a wake or a funeral. He wanted people to remember him the way he was before all this happened.

So now after all this happened, my Mom's going back to work next week and I'm going back to looking for a job like I was doing before Dad died.

I really want 2009 to end.

I'm glad that you were able to move on. It's sad, but you seem to be quite strong with dealing with it. Good luck with looking for a job. I'm sure you'll find one eventually.

It's good that you're obviously strong, and able to move on. Being able - and willing - to do that shows your resilience. I hadn't heard about your dad, and I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm incredibly sorry for your loss. My father died several years ago, and like you, I moved on quickly. Letting go is an enormous part of life, and moving on is all you can do...I doubt your father would want you to let grief overwhelm you. You are so strong Mario. Man I don't think I will be able to survive if my parents moved on. I really don't know what would I do. I know I will depressed for the rest of my life. I won't be able to move on. It will take me forever that is for sure. I am glad you are feeling okay. I know it was tough for a few weeks. Your Dad will always think of you in spirit. And good luck finding a job. ^^
