hey guys still no shiny cranidos i will have it ssoon! and venom x congrats on the shiny zangoose i wish i had one! and i think u should chain 4 seviper 2! well good luck to everyone on there hunts! and gibbo dont worry it will show up sring takes awhile it took me a while to find my drifloon! just keep at it!

Sorry for not posting, with distractions and all. I found an interesting swarm, so I've taken a break from chaining for ******** to spend some time chaining ********. I saved on my Phat, making the swarm infinite again, but I'll leave it sometime tomorrow evening so another Drifloon will appear, for whom I'll do the usual amount of soft resetting until Monday.

zigzaghakr: Your collection of rare shinies (starters) and your tone sound suspicious. Evidence?

Edit: After about 2 hours of chaining and ~50 Max Repels later, I found a shiny patch on a 40-chain!

Here are some highlights of the video, which actually saved this time:

Video coming whenever I upload my backlog of videos. I'm going to try to catch more. It takes a long time to find one, even at a 40-chain.

Unrelated, I think I'm going to have to go with the bandwagon and give all my (both shiny and nonshiny) pokes ordinary lowercase/capitalized names rather than all caps. All caps was the norm for everything in the 3rd-gen and back, but Nintendo seems to want to change that. And so does everyone else. I still have the OT save files for all my shinies, save Nanaimo the Camerupt, for whom I can use my Awesomely Amazing Name Rating Service (read: h4x) to rename.

MM: Nice nosepass, I personally like golden shinies (or yellow).

Was chaining on a Snubull swarm when i got a mini haul of 2 snubbulls!!
Pics coming tomorrow, I left my handphone at home and currently am at my cousin's house for the night XD

Chain:
26 - Was Reseting 5 times before increasing each chain, and saw patch 1.
32 - Was increasing at same rate, and stumbled upon patch 2.
35 - I did not move on, and was reseting, saw a shiny patch, stepped behind me, OMFG got broken by Tauros -.-

Anyway, have fun shinying!

Found my LG, so soft resetting for a shiny Squirtle is a go when I get back from school.

I'm just soft resetting for Bulbasaur right now....I would be soft restting for Turtwig as well, but somehow, my game was in sleep mode with my shiny Ampharos battling a Biddorf. Guess I was EV training my shiny Ralts before I fell asleep...

Congratulations on your shiny Nosepass, MM. It's color is excellent.

NIce congrats MM on the nosepass! Lol I've been waiting to get that as my swarm as I also want a shiny one, but haven't got it yet (today's voltorb :/)
Anyways I've been playing through my pearl and am up to the 5th gym. Getting closer to Sring for palkia. Besides that I've been Sring for treecko mostly. I think I may also start seriously Sring for Uxie later today on diamond. Good luck to everyone on their hunts!

Progress update!

I've now caught five shiny Nosepass on this chain. Two are male, three are female. I know that one of them has a +Def nature because it took three False Swipes to get it to 1hp rather than two for all the others. I've used my Quiet syncher more than my Modest one, too. I think it's about time that I see just how long this chain will go for. I'm getting kind of low on Max Repels, at around 200.

Edit: Chain broken at 52. (The game records it as 53.) This beats my previous record of 51 for Starly. (I was EVing and never got a shiny out of that chain.) Now, to check stats and natures! >=]

Edit2: Only one was Modest, and one was Quiet. The Modest one has Magnet Pull, so it's probably the winner. She's also Mischievous, which could mean flawless Special Attack. She was the first one I caught! D= The only other Magnet Puller is the fifth, who is Adamant. -.-

Edit3: Here are the IVs of the Modest one--the only usable one with Magnet Pull: 11/13/13/16/4/5. Crap to average. Why are my shinies doomed to suck? :(

It was the same as it was with zangoose, a broken chain or two, then after leaving it for a day or two i was able to get up to 40 without any problems.

Anyway piccys

I'm glad i finally got him, he's been a royal pain in my ***, next is lunatone and solrock although i'm i'm not sure which one to do first.

Congrats VenomX, shiny Seviper looks so awesome. :D
I wish I had Sapphire so I could chain for it.

Been soft resetting for Drofloon with no results, I just taught my sister how to soft reset for me, so she'll be doing it for me 'til she eventually gets bored, and she's already complaining...

Okay, I concede. Lunatone was my secret shiny. I'll race you for it, but I'll only start chaining it on Monday, since I want to give this week's Drifloon a fair shot.

I have both a Calm and Bold syncher with me for Drifloon. Which is better? I was thinking Bold for a Calm Mind set, to help with the Defense which isn't getting a boost from the Calm Minds.

Just woke up, and I'm playing through Sapphire while soft resetting for Squirtle and Bulbasaur...it's not going so well, so I'm just going to stop playing Sapphire when I get my third gym badge. I'll focus on Bulbasaur and Squirtle, and soft reset for Suicune simultaneously later.

I would say it depends on what kind of set you're running, MM. It's fine if you don't want to tell me, but if you're running something like Calm Mind/Substitute/Baton Pass/ Attack Move@Pinch Berry (probably Salac), then I would say that Timid would be best to make sure that you outrun everything; that works best with Unburden though. In the case where you get Aftermath, Calm would be better to persuade the foe to hit your Drifblim with a physical attack, which you can take advantage of by passing to your other teammates or something.

umm shiny hunter u could chain nincada! because i beleive wen u evelove into ninjask and u have an open spot in ur party and only 1 pokeball with to get shedinja i beleive shedinja is shiny as well!?!?!?!?!?!?!? but im not certain! well on the other hAND NOTHIN NEW YET! cranidos or registeel should come soon! and good luck to everyone on there shiny hunts!=)

You don't actually need the pokeball, and Shedinja will be shiny! :)

No luck with Drifloon, been a week since I started. I'm getting impatient because anything I can do with one hand I'll use my other hand SRing, so every chance I get but nothing as of yet.
