4th Gen Team Rocket speculation

What do you think Team Rocket will do in the games? What role will they portray? Will it be the same as last time?

I hope they don't give up as easily as they did in G/S/C.

Things will probably be almost exactly the same for the Johoto section, but once you go to Kanto it may include a side-plot involving Team Rocket.

I'd like to see more backstory on the fact that they're really Neo Team Rocket.

As said above, I'd also love to see a few Rocket events in Kanto.

I would predict the TR plot might remain pretty much the same like how it was kept the same in FRLG, but they could have added in some new twists in the storyline...Seeing as they can involve some Crystal plot into the remakes as well.

They'll probably operate the same as they did last time, but this time there'll be better graphics! And hopefully the grunts will have a bigger selection of Pokémon to battle and they won't be as easy to beat.

I completely agree. Something like how they changed up the grunts in Platinum and stengthening them a bit.

Seeing Giovanni in the game would be great, as it would give the game an old feeling and more nostalgia to the fans...

Mabye have them use the tower for mind control? That'd be more epicly cool :D
Oh and seeing what happened to Giovanni after alll these years would be extremly satisfying

G/S did a good job explaining the subtle facets of Team Rocket, which FR/LG basically carried, as well (Team creed, organizational structure), so I don't expect much deviation, there.

Although, I am curious on any Pokemon upgrades or Pokemon they normally wouldn't own. We had Venonat, Vileplume, which were a surprise, and if you count the scientists, Ditto and Porygon (in-game, only Team Rocket scientists can use Porygon, I've noticed). I'm sure we'll get some Mightyena and a few Dark types, since that was Neo Team Rocket's shtick.

Think they'll revive the Cassidy design for the female grunt, or do something completely different? Hah.

Edit: I hope we'll finally get official names for the male and female Execs. I wonder if we'll get backstory, too.

^ Charaxes you have some good ideas and thoughts, except if they have to add in the newer Gen dark types to their teams, then maybe it'll be a possibility that Team Rocket can have a new scheme in the Kanto, giving them the chance to use the newer Dark Type Gens along with other Pokémon too.

Yeah, one of my first thoughts was that they could really use Team Rocket to expand the game a lot. They could have them show up at least once more in Johto, but I'm hoping they'll really expand them in the Kanto area, maybe they'll even include some Sevii Island stuff? I doubt Giovanni will make an appearance, but I suppose you never know.

What evidence is there that Silver is Giovanni's son? Honestly, you can't tell them to "admit" it because there's no evidence that it's true. =P

I wanna see the Cassidy design revived. Its pretty epic.

As for the execs they have names in the manga. Plus they look like Jessie and James. So I dont know what will happen as far as their names are concerned.

Well, I guess their plans are the same as it is in G/S/C. Infiltrating the Radio Tower, selling the tail of Slowpokes, and many more. :)

As many of the others have said I think the plot will still be the same from the previous games, I just hope that Team Rocket will not be such a push over and that they finally become a challenge, and you get to double battle with Lance.

Team Rocket kind of had an unorganized plot in this game, so I'm hoping it will continue out with a plot in the Kanto as well. Also, I'd like the see the Jesse and James sprite now, it must look pretty cool with the new DPPt graphics for those two.

Team Rocket really needs to step it up because we have had 3 other crime organizations do much mre drastic things than they have. We need to be able to witness Giovannis connection with them and a battle with him outside of the gym.
