    ^ For those who don't read Japanese - it knows Wish, Confusion, Rest, and Draco Meteor. Comes with a Liechi Berry - and it's downloadable in Japan from the 19th of June, to the 17th of July. (Apparently, it's still unknown if it'll be local WiFi exactly or not...)

    For these pages now:
    -Map stuff first
    --Hmm it seems like there is a river between Johto and Kanto. Looks like you can go in between both regions through it. So there is one update.
    --I cannot recongnize where the hell is violet or the ruins. The hell?
    --Goldenrod is looking majorly updated. And I mean majorly.
    --New area next to the park it seems.
    --Hmm Cianwood has a river thing this is odd as well.
    --Johto looks ver very very updated so I am very very very happy.
    -For the screens&artwork
    --First of all that Pokedex has to be the best one I have seen ever. Dual screen not so flimsy and it looks like the old Johto dex instead of that abomination of a pokedex in fr/lg.
    --Elm silver and the grunts wowee Sugimori i am impressed.
    --That has to be the best in game Pokedex i have ever seen. Whatever they are doing the remakes seem to be the ones that push it to the limit*plays song*
    --I love elm's lab. So fresh and so inexperienced looking.
    --The battles don't look too different to me.
    --What city is that above the well?
    --The well. Whoa. Awesimical!
    --Wobaffet! YAY! Seems to me all Pokemon follow.
    --STEELIX MOFO'S! STEELIX. But what is up with the ruins? My god they really changed this. I am impressed Gamefreak impressed.
    --Cherrygrove is looking great.
    --Proper effing gatehouses thank the lord.
    --The Pokemon stat screen is extrordinary. I mean it.
    --Bravo on the bag Gamefreak bravo. I thought platinum pushed the limits but no. The next gen better be this good.

    Wow, new screenshots. I'm getting more excited about this game than ever.

    The new Pokedex interface looks awesome. everything seems better organized.

    Wow, that does look awesome. 8D
    And I think I spotted Violet and the ruins.
    See the pokeball shape of the park near Goldenrod? Follow the path East, and continue east. To the north is Ecruteak, but continue East. Ignore the North.
    The first houses you meat on your right are, what I think the ruins. If you keep going East, I think you meet Violet City (3 houses XD). I'm basing my judgement on the original Jotho map. Part of the scan might be cut off. =/
    I love the new Jotho map. 8D
    you can follow the track of the Magnet Train until it vanishes, and then again in the mountains all the way to Kanto. And the Route to Mount Silver is there as well.
    This is totally awesome, my favourite Region is back and updated. 83
    I can't wait to get my hands on this game.

    The chibi's are cute. I'm guessing at least someone will use them in his/her next theme.
    Silver looks great and Elm does as well. He's totally back as his usual clumsy self. XD
    Pokédex looks nice as well. Although I greatly prefer the red version over the pink one. O_O"

    -Updated map looks awesome
    -Ilex Forest looks slightly different than in the earlier screen
    -Route 34 looks odd. Not sure what to make of it, yet
    -New bag and Pokedex look awesome
    -I nearly screamed out of excitement when I saw the new Slowpoke Well and Ruins.
    -Anyone else notice that Route 45 has a river running through it, now?

    I honestly couldn't be more impressed. :)

    Oh hey! You can talk to your Pokemon again like in Yellow. =3

    Cherrygroove's roofs are still pink. ^^ And the mart and Pokécenter are still on their right spot. Seems like the Moo Moo ranch is still there as well, although hidden by the frame. And the Olivine Light house. 8D The Berry Master's house, and Mr Pokémon's house. And Rock Mountain's many entrances. XD
    Gawd, this is making me melancholic.
    Newbark town really is a small city, isn't it?

    Indeed. Route 45 is now a freaking river so I am happy. Also elm with stuble. And wow route 32 overpass of the train. Hopefully it passes by sometimes. Cianwood got a major change and goldenrod seems to have extended. Also that extension to the park seems to be a race track to me. Nah that would be too awesome. Also whats with the very now puzzle hefty ruins? Whatever it makes it all that better.

    I think I've realized my gripe with FR/LG

    Sure, FR/LG used everything that was done in R/S, but it didn't really evolve on any of those things. The only updates we got were:
    -The graphics
    -The VS Seeker
    -The items having sprites
    -A Pokemon flashing for a second when it levels up
    -Stars coming out when a Pokemon is caught

    That's honestly it. The first one was the only large improvement with the second one being somewhere in the middle

    Now here are all of the new changes we've seen so far in HG/SS, a game that we still don't know much about:
    -The graphics
    -Any Pokemon following you in the overworld
    -A completely redesigned menu (including things like the Pokedex, Pokemon screen, item screen, etc.)

    As much as I loved FR/LG, I think that HG/SS has already surpassed it as a remake.

    You forgot Johto getting tweaks everywhere. This has surpassed the remake point a long time ago.

    ^Agreed. But then again, S/G(/C) deserve this. They were, imo, the best games from the series of Pokemon. (I'm not talking about D/P/Pt, for I haven't played those, yet).
    Kanto and Hoenn were always a little favoured compared to Johto. There were -I think- more ways to complete your Kanto Dex than the Johto Dex. I mean, Colloseum was needed to insert the majority of Johto Pokémon.
    As I said, I can't wait to get my hands on this game.

    I like the boxart of the game as well. Although, maybe they are a little 'empty'?

    "Enhanced remakes" then :p
    At least that's what FR/LG felt like.

    I think HG/SS might be more like this:
    "Remakes so enhanced you nearly forget that they're even remakes" (in a good way)

    What I'm trying to say is that while FR/LG felt to me like repackaging old games, it seems that HG/SS will actually stand out as their own games.

    ALSO: I just realized why I thought Route 34 to look odd. It's the new grass. It's also in the image with Wobbuffet.
