The Ranking System
Posts are divided into two categories: topics and replies. Topics are worth five points, replies are worth one point. So, it goes without saying that the more active you are, the more points you will receive. Only two topics can be posted in the span of 24 hours, meaning only two people can gain five points from posting a topic on any given day. The rest of the points will be accumulated through your replies. The number of replies you can leave are unlimited. However, depending on your rank, the total number of topics you can make as a member of this club is limited. This is to ensure that new members aren't just creating new topics everyday and are actually participating in the conversations. The number of points needed to go up in rank are as follows:

"Spook-Bad Dream: post 1 topic and 3 other posts" (total of 12 points)
Bad Dream-Nightmare: post 5 topics and 15 other posts" (total of 40 points)
Nightmare-Night Terror: post 15 topics and 50 others posts" (total of 125 points)

Nah, it's not asking much. I was hoping someone would ask to be co-owner. ;D Thanks for rejoining! Ghost Pokemon deserves more love than they get...

Here's a topic for new members (inspired by a question of asked in the Dragons Den): What Ghost-type combo would you most like to see? I really want to see a Ghsot-Steel type. IDK how the Pokemon team would make that work... Maybe a haunted robot? Haha... Rotom is a haunted toy, so it's not that much of a stretch to want a haunted robot.

ETA: I'm... really bad at making buttons, but if anyone wants me to make one with their fave ghost I'd be more than willing to do so.

What Ghost-type combo would you most like to see?
I'm going to agree with a ghost-steel type (I want to see a possesed NES! *shot*) That thing would have some crazy resistences and if it has levitate then Amen. I also would like to see a ghost-grass type. I would like to see what nintendo would come up with for this one. Maybe something like the tree from poltergeist.

How about a new topic? When it comes to battling, how do you think Ghosts can improve?
I personally would love to see Ghosts have a wider movepool. And maybe more diverse abilities. But I seriously love me some Levitate, so I'm not really stressing the last suggestion.

When it comes to battling, how do you think Ghosts can improve?
I agree with the whole "Yo, we need a wider movepool". I like the moves that Ghost-types have accessability to, but they could do with a few more nice offensive moves.

And Gastly's family... why are you guys part poison if you can't level up and learn poison-type moves during that? Heck, even something like Poisonous Gas or Smog would suit me fine. Learn to use that poison in your bodies! >:

And to be honest, I love their levitate abilities-- although this is probably because poison is weak to ground, my lovely Haunters are part poison, and thus Levitate elimitates this weakness... and it's appropriate. Ghosts float, after all.

What Ghost-type combo would you most like to see?
I would love to see a Ghost/Normal type ghost, sort of like a Misdreavus with Teddiursa arms and claws and it could have a special ability were everytime it got attacked it would turn solid or translusent, if it turned solid in could only be hit by phsical attacks and if it turned translusent it could only be hit by special attack. A little unbalenced perhaps, but it would be a good ability for a ledgendary poke.

When it comes to battling, how do you think Ghosts can improve?
I wish they had some more good and powerfull attacks like Icebeam (I'm looking at you Gengar) i also wish more ghosts could use pain split, as it's a creepy move that seems suitible for ghosts and i wish it had remained exclusive to ghosts (sorry gulpin)

When it comes to battling, how do you think Ghosts can improve?
We need a stronger ghost type move. Shadow ball is good (and my favorite ghost types are special based (Rotom and Gengar)) but we need something with a bit more kick. At least a base 90 move. That or a higher enducing sleep move (Or just give dark void to other pokemon). Also I agree with ITsaLie with both the pain split and ice beam thing. (though I think if gengar gets ice beam... well the words "over" and "powered" come to mind).

I'm not exactly sure who you want to be your partner, though. :X I've actually seen a Rotom-M, but it's not an official form. I think you might have meant Rotom-H, but just in case I'm wrong here's the list of names I'm familiar with. Sorry for getting lost in translation.

About the current topics: I had an all Ghost-type team and the lack of a move stronger than Shadow Ball really hurt. And it just gets really repetitive having so many Pokemon with the same move. :/ Also, I agree that we need moar physical moves. IIRC, my Dusknoir didn't have any Ghost-type moves (meaning no STAB) because I trained him to be a Physical attacker (...he still kicked butt, though. ;D).

I really want to see more ghost combos in general. The possibilities should be endless since, you know, just about anything can become a ghost and/or become haunted.

Also, I've changed the rankings thing so that Spooks can post topics, too... If anyone has any ideas pertaining to how one goes up in rank, I'm all ears.

What was your favorite moment in the anime that featured a ghost pokemon?

Yep, an all Ghost team. :D Rotom, Gengar, Dusknoir, Spiritomb, Drifblim, and Frosslass. I didn't use this team competitively. Unfortunately, three of them are frail, Dusknoir is slow, and Spiritomb has abysmal HP. :/ The latter two Pokemon were as bulky as I could make them.

I tried out an Trick Room team for the Battle Tower consisting of Dusknoir, Spiritomb, and Bronzong. I can't remember how far I got, so I'm going to try that again.

I really think everyone here should try out an all Ghost-type team, BTW. It works well in-game!

I hardly watch the anime anymore. *Insert nervous laugh here.* I can distinctly remember a Pokemon from the Gastly line licking Ashes face. Perhaps that is my favorite moment featuring a ghost Pokemon.

I loved the Pokemon Tower episode. I liked how the ghosts (Gastly and his evo line) were portrayed as lonely ghosts who just want to have fun. Not all ghosts have to be malicious, here and IRL. I wonder how Gastly and Gengar are doing without their middle bro (he's with Sabrina now). Hopefully he visits sometimes.
My second fav would be the Ghost of Maiden's Peak. I'm always interested in legends in stuff, so this gave me things to look forward to. The poke featured in this one is a rather mischevous/malicious Gastly. He was shown as a somewhat decent guy in the end who converses with the eponymous maiden and proves he's just a ghost who likes to rip off lovesick men. I'm probably way off on these episodes, since it's been months since I watched them. So yeah, rambling stupid me XD

I wish I knew what episodes you were talking about. But I do remember the Gastly line being potrayed as just wanting to have fun. It's one of the things I like about... all ghosts, haha.

I liked the chapter in the pokemon tower and Ghastly is being controlled by Koga to poccess dead pokemon corpes. It was spooky! :P

Oh my goodness, how can I forget the Pokemon Tower chapter? One of my favorite chapters. xP I was rather disappointed they didn't do the Marowak's ghost story, but oh wellz.

When it comes to battling, how do you think Ghosts can improve?
If I can't answer old topics, slap me.
The only good (PP-wise, power-wise, accuracy-wise) attack is Shadow Ball, which is 80 power. Psychic gets 90 power. That's not fair. B[ Like what Tyknight said, they need a stronger attack.
