Help! I got it to work ad just beat the fourth gym leader and now every time i select my profile it crashes :(. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP! IM using the cheat and everything :(

Hello , First off What is a emulator and secondly i have pokemon platinum and i bought it used from Gamestop and i start the game and get through the intro, right after my guy shrinks the game goes black and the music still play but nothing happens plz help me! :)

I have a problem with the storage pc in HS.
for example when i move some pokemon to different box the game begins to slow down. the same problem with the pokeatlon when i play the running game and other atlon games. I use NO$gba 2.6a

Whenever I start the ROM, it goes until I tell him my name and shrink down, then the screen stays black and I'm using no$gba 2.6a, and a clean US SoulSilver ROM :(

Can you play SS on NO$GBA 2.6a without any freezing?

nope you can actually tweak it using AR codes and even if you use those codes give the game less almost an hour of game play and it will crash. I suggest switch to DeSmuMe 0.9.6

Exiting No$ is the only way to write the save file, unfortunately. It's more of a safeguard than anything. Sorry about the late reply, it's been almost a month since I last logged on. As for Shiny codes, they could probably be left on. It's mainly just touch and go. I haven't had any problems with walkthrough wall codes, or that. I create my shinies using Pokesav (HGSS) but to use it with your No$ save file you either need to convert your .sav using http://www.emuboards.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=24627

(but it might not work for Windows 7) or set the No$ config file to SAV/SNA File Format == Raw

Hi, i've been playing the game using Desmume but after i beat Lance it says "THE END" and wont let me continue, i figure i need to move my save to NO$GBA and continue there, anyways is there a way to move my save from Desmume to NO$GBA (its currently in "state" form).

Figured I'll share my experiences with HGSS Emulation.

I'm using no$gba 2.6a - HGSS Fixed. Google that and find it yourself.
And I use untouched roms.
I don't use no$zoomer, I use a plugin called myZoom.
Default settings works for me.
I turn the sound to 10khz and emulation speed to Unlimited MHz Disaster 10% to speed up.
With these settings, I get ~250% speed overworld, faster in menus/battles/I think everything else on i7-920.
I could get 150% overworld with my previous C2D T7300 laptop. For reference.

I use the AR codes to fix the black screen problem, google them.

I press F12 to reload every 15 minutes after I save, so that the game doesn't freeze.

and i saved right after that, since i was afaird
it was going to crash and freeze.

now, when i closed my emulator, i click my file,
have the black screen code on and BOOOM .
the pop up 'rom-image' comes up and i haven't
been able to play it since

does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Been playing HeartGold for a while now on my DS with R4 Firmware 1.18 with no additions. Everything works perfectly except for the random freezing. I suspect that it's from number of events, and not time (As it only freeze in the middle of an event, such as talking to Earl >_>). Any suggestions?

I know you dont have to use the code on DeSume, but DeSume is sooo slow

All right, so, I tried searching for this in the thread and didn't come up with any fixes. I'm hoping I'm not posting something that's already been answered. If I have, I'm sorry - I suck at searching.

I'm trying to run the KOREAN version of Pokemon HeartGold on no$GBA. It runs fine until after Professor Oak's speech, you know, where you shrink down and the screen goes black. Yeah, I'm having that black screen glitch. I tried using some AR codes, but they were for the US version and understandably didn't work for me. Any solutions?

Ok guys I think I have finally found a way to run HG/SS on R4 smoothly.

Most people may know this, but, there is a new update to the unofficial firmware called Wood R4. Their new firmware was released quite recently, I think in June or so. Whilst the official R4 website's newest update (1.18) was released in 2008.

This is the link for Wood R4 an UNOFFICIAL firmware release.

I have just started playing HG/SS using this firmware and it's been working perfectly, so please give it a try and reply here with feedback.

On a side note, Sega All Star Racers (2010) never even worked on the official firmware update but works perfectly on Wood R4, so it's a good sign.

I know this has been asked tons of times but still:
I got No$GBA 2.6a (yes, legally), dumped firmware and bios from a friend, and got a ROM of SoulSilver (U).
It goes VERY smoothly until I try to save.
It freezes in the middle of saving. Anyone have any idea how to stop this?
