Yeah, at first I thought it was a knock-off Zubat (Poke pun, get it, KNOCK OFF, lol), but the name is deeper than that. Swoon makes more sense than swoop for a heart-nosed bat.

Well, I guess it skipped my mind that it had this heard on its nose. XD Idk it could've been more obvious, like hearbat. Like heart bat. :D

It does have that one signature move called Heart Stamp or something and literally shows you a heart on-screen. :( Oh and it evolves by happiness. :>

Audino (Tabunne) = Audio, for superb hearing and stethoscope-like ears, or "I dunno" as Tabunne means "maybe"

Deino (Monose) = Ein, German for one, and dino
Zweilous (Jihead) = Zwei, German for two, and jealous
Hydreigon (Sazandra) = Drei, German for three, and Hydra/dragon

Escavalier = Escargot, French for snail, and chevalier, French for knight

Unova is a melting pot of awesomeness. :)

Oh god. This is going to cause some pronouncing and dubbing problems. And I also very much preferred Desukan's japanese now, i'm just not fond with Cofagrigus at all.

All these alts. D: (Braviary, Swanna, Galvantula, Joltik, Axew and Chandelure are mine!)

@Escavalier: But... you can't name a Pokemon after its signature move! :( I can't really think of another word that'd work as well when it comes to Woobat.

Oh wait, Attractobat would be even better for Woobat. ^_______^ And if it is real, I'm going to keep thinking it's Wooguru. >>

Yeah well. :( And now that I think about it, there really isn't much else to use for instead of Woo-

Attractobat hnjmkl; it doesn't even fit in the ten character limit :(

That list is so messy... they all look complicated to pronounce or maybe it's just me. I cant wait to learn correct pronunciations.

    Forever says (4:47 PM):
    *Krookodile - Totodile
    Tranquill - Cyndaquil
    Gothorita - Chikorita

Finally figured out the last one which adds them up. None of the other starters have the last parts of their names in the rumoured names. That's kinda interesting tbh, as to whether if they are real, if that was done purposely. Maybe Johto has an unknown connection to B/W!. Interestingly, two of them are dark types...

Gym, as I said, I love what you've figured out, a lot more than me!

Hm... I've just figured out how The Pokémon Company International comes up with all these names. I'm guessing they look at the original Japanese name origin, then they look the words up in a Thesaurus, then find the name that they think would fit the best.

Like for instance... if you look up "warm" on an online Thesaurus, you'd find "tepid" included as well. And not to also mention... "lukewarm" as well.

It's all about similar names when they use them. Like "pan" is very likely to be originated from chimpanzee.

For English names... I've got quite alot that I've managed to come up with from doing the same thing as what The Pokémon Company International might do.

So without further ado... lemme show you all some of the names that I have managed to come up with (along with of course some of the ones that have been already announced):

    Snivy (already announced)
    Snakopy
    Snakord
    Tepig (already announced)
    Surperig
    Embarking
    Oshawott (already announced)
    Samurott
    Armorge
    Squirreek
    Meeserhog
    Yorterry
    Herdelia
    Lantese
    Pilfekat
    Lepardas
    Pansage (already announced)
    Lemsage
    Pansear (already announced)
    Lemsear
    Panpour (already announced)
    Lempour
    Moonower
    Dreamo
    Diligeon
    Dovscape
    Breasant
    Zibra
    Zebolt
    Dumpound

And yes, I've listed them in National dex order. But yeah... I have to also know some of the other Pokémon's Japanese name origins as well.

They already revealed the Pokédex and the Random Matchup... so they did reveal some features. however, in jap. they revealed the random matchup after those pokes

EDIT: pokejungle now has a rumor of all the english + italian names of the pokemon.

but they most likely won't be real because the italian site revealed that the italian names of zorua and zoroark will be the same as the english ones.

OH MY GOODNESS! I just can't believe my eyes... didn't The Pokémon Company International just end up using my speculated name for Oshawott's second evolution for Oshawott's final evolution?!?!?!?!?!?!

    ...

I just cannot believe it... why did they have to use it for a Pokémon that is actually off a seal? It is not a sea otter, it is a seal! I think I'm just getting sick and tired of The Pokémon Company International making up these silly names for the 5th generation Pokémon. C'mon... they do better than that crap. Even I can name those Pokémon with much better names. I think I know why The Pokémon Company International has gotten out of whack along with their affiliated companies... it's because they probably employ the people that have had "interesting families" rather than ones that just go to work normally. Mostly people that have a disorder... like me of course, which could also mean they might have anxiety or something.

But yeah, there are some of the English names that I like... but most of them I don't like. I kinda think... the company has gone corrupt. Look how bad it has become, it's worse than generation 4, mainly because of the features that are removed. Why should they take away losing HP outside of battle while a Pokémon is poisoned? It made the previous generations more realistic, but now look at it... it's become more psychotic to me, either that... or I might be over-reacting. x.x

Nothing is perfect in life anyways, Black/White had such a short development time... it's no wonder they didn't imput even more features and make the region more bigger. I don't even know why they had to have such a short development time. D:

I love the name Samurott ^^

But many (most) other English names are pretty bad. Sadly, because the pokémon designs are wonderful.

Maybe the short development time is because Game Freak finally feels that time is running out for the Pokémon franchise.

I like Basculin. It's very masculine. CB

And I'm glad it looks like Emboar will be staying Emboar.

Also, am I the only one who thought Wargle was kind of weird. It's fine when you type it, but when you say it, it sounds really awkward. Or that's probably just me. :/

I'm taking the names not revealed by IGN with a grain of salt. Most of those were tough for me to pronounce. Until IGN confirms those names, I won't be using them, and will be sticking to the Japanese names of the Pokemon, as well as the already-revealed English names.
