What would be one thing you would research if you were a pokemon professor? It could be anything pokemon-related: Evolution, Eggs, Possible new species of pokemon, etc.

For me, I would probably research evolution. I mean, in my opinion, evolution is probably the most intriguing subject in pokemon. How does pokemon evolve, and why do they evolve and transform their physical appearance to a particular type of pokemon? Like for example, Remoraid undergoes a pretty big transformation, when it evolves to an octillery.

If you were a Pokemon Professor...
If you were a Pokemon Professor...
If you were a Pokemon Professor...

I would also ask questions like, why CAN'T some pokemon evolve, and why do only certain pokemon evolve with stones...and more stuff like that.

I think I would research how Pokemon live and interact with each other, rather like Professor Birch (who is my idol and kind of hot XD). It interests me how every aspect of life works together and fits into the ecosystem in some way~

Prof.Birch researches habitats. Prof. Oak is the one who researches how Pokemon live and interact with each other and with people.

Anyways, I would research Legendary Pokemon. Just the mysteries of the Pokemon, their power, etc. It all just interests me. Right now I'm trying to figure out what exactly makes Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos, legendary.

    Sorry, your information is incorrect.

He is known to be more outgoing than the other Pokémon Professors, and oftentimes his research takes him outdoors. His field of study is primarily how Pokémon behave in the wild.

He most definitely researches Pokemon interaction. Oak concentrates on human-Pokemon relations.

Although in Background Information, it says right what I quoted. :|

I wouldn't mind studying habitats, though- it kind of goes hand-in-hand with what I am interested in.

I would study stuyff like Natures, E.Vs, Ivs, etc. It seems so interesting and not explained much in the anime or games.

I'm a small details kind of person, so for me it would probably be rarities and breeding.

What makes 2 Pokémon optimal for breeding? Why do some Pokémon in the same egg group hate breeding with each other? Where are certain Pokémon found? Why is this Pokémon more rare than that Pokémon? Which Pokémon get lured out by specific music and why do they only come out for that tune?

I've always loved myths about pokemon so that is probably what I would study. Myths like Ho-Oh's Burned Tower or about myths about the legendary pokemons.

I would study Pokemon habitats and Pokemon relationships in the wild. I would be the adventurous Professor who travels the world in order to study and research Pokemon habitats and relationships. Oh, and I would like to complete the Pokedex along the way. Of course it would be a Pokedex of my own creation, designed to satisfy my curiosity.

I would study types. Why Pokemon are certain types, the reason certain types are weak to others (Not like electric shocks water, but like the actual biological reason why a water typed Pokemon is weaker to electric attacks than a fire type.) the reason for types. what causes types, ect.

Genetics has always sounded like a really good field of science to get into studying in the real world: why not transfer it over to Pokemon? One could see whether Pokemon genes made them more or less receptive to certain types of medicine/berries etc. and could provide scientific data for things like Base Stats in the games. It's interesting that the games have the EV/IV/Base Stats system as a rudimentary form of genetics, but if Pokemon did exist in real life, I doubt the situation would be quite so mechanical, hence the need for a field of science dedicated to it!

I would probably have a job that spans multiple fields. Ones that come to mind would be traveling from area to area studying pokemon and people of the land in depth the history of pokemon and their involvement in events with that region. The evolution of pokemon through out time, like when Zekrom and Reshiram were one entity and are not two, and I would try and decipher what is behind this and if it is possible for this to happen with other pokemon not only to split but to merge like Beldum does to Metang and Metang to Metagross(according the the dex). This would go hand in hand with studying the legends/myths of pokemon lure that happened in the region. I would also try and catalog all pokemon I come around, what their habits are, where they live, their attacks, abilities, its relation with other pokemon in its community.

    I like all the Professors...

So if I was also a Professor, I'd study types, evolution and species of Pokemon in general.

If I were a professor, I would research all the Pokemon. I would observe their behaviors and how certain ones react to another one. It would actually be kind of fun to do that.

Similar to Prof. Birch, I'd be a field researcher observing pokemon behavior and habitats. Overall, I'd much rather be out doing observation than in a lab running tests. XD
