Substitute is not a good idea on Metagross for two reasons: first, Metagross is slow. It will get smacked hard by something before you have the chance to Sub up; and even then, you might be so low on health that you can't even make a Sub. Either that, or they switch out of Metagross and into a counter. In either situation, Agility is the better move. Not only does it give you potential sweeping capabilities (teams can handle Metagross without a dedicated counter if it's at +0 and they just broke the sub. it's much more difficult to handle with +2 and without a sub regardless), but it prevents you from missing out on the potentially fatal miscalculation where Metagross is dropped to below 25% when you click Substitute. Burn shouldn't be something Metagross should be worried about. Plus, anything that commonly utilizes burn (aka Rotom-W, Jellicent, etc) are things Metagross shouldn't be coming in and setting up on anyway.

    Thanks Vrai! :)

I will go with Agility then! What do you think 3 physical moves should be? I have Meteor Mash, Earthquake and Hammer Arm, i guess that is good enough cover?

I aint got no access to Thunder Punch and even Though Zen Headbutt is STAB it does not cover as much.

    Thanks anyway! ^^

I think Metagross has good enough defense so it shouldn't need a sub. I would keep it at as high health as possible. And I think those moves are great! But maybe a Steel type move?

Question.. I have finished EV training my Axew. It has 6 hp/252 att/252 spd. How would I finish training it to level 100? Should I train it by battling or using rare candies, or will they both have the same results at the end? I ask this because some say battling will make them have better stats at the end and others say it's the same thing..

Well, if you can't get Thunderpunch you'll be utterly walled by Gyarados and Skarmory, as well as basically any bulky water (Slowbro in particular comes to mind). To be honest, if you can deal with bulky waters, the set you have is fine; if you can't, I'd run Zen Headbutt to hit Gyarados, Jellicent, and most other common bulky waters pretty hard. You'll still have to watch out for Skarmory, Slowbro, and Ferrothorn then.

Defense doesn't really give it any reason to have a sub, imo. Even so, subs are usually broken quickly on Metagross because it doesn't and shouldn't invest in its defenses. Substitute simply drains from its health, making it more vulnerable to priority and things that can live a hit from it.

Meteor Mash is a Steel-type move.

Yeah i guess i will go for Zen headbutt maybe or Hammer Arm a different debate but as you said Bulky waters would get hit more from Zen due to stab!

As for waters i got it covered with other pokemon typing so it should not be too much of a problem!

    Thanks :)

If it's fully EV'd, doing either will accomplish the same thing.

I don't understand your question. What exactly are you asking for? Good partners for TR? Good partners outside of TR?

Druddigon is really awful competitively, and its only solid usage is found on Trick Room teams, so... Outside of Trick Room, it's outclassed by like every other Dragon-type except maybe Altaria. And even then, Altaria has Cloud Nine or whatever the weather-stopping ability is. ._.

Quick question. How in the world am I supposed to breed a Conkeldurr with both drain punch and mach punch?

    Hello everyone! I'm back...
Alright, so I consider myself a semi-competitive Blanketr. I IV breed and EV train, but when it comes to SRing, I tend to stop at "good enough." And I don't like ARing for anything, or messing with my RNGs. And I didn't feel like SRing for Thundurus, so here is what I ended up with:
    Thundurus - Bold (-Atk +Def)
PROS: -Atk nature, 57-59 power HP Ice, SpA Def SpD IVs are all over 25.
CONS: No +Spd or +SpA nature, HP and Spe are both under 5.
Now, here's the question: what do I do with it? My first thought was abusing Prankster
    Prankster Set
    Thundurus @ Leftovers
    Substitute
    Toxic
    Protect
    Thunderbolt
EVs: 252 HP, 258 split between Def/SpD (need help on exact split; thinking about using Smogon Def calculator at 50/50)
However, this set kind of dies to Taunt, and doesn't use HP Ice (although its power is admittedly not the best). However, to balance this out, I am not around competitive Blanketrs (although a few do EV train), and the probability that Taunt would be a huge threat is slim.
Thanks for any and all advice!

My best guess is an acrobatics Gliscor

    Gliscor@Toxic Orb
    Impish Nature [+Def; -SpA]
Ability: Poison Heal (this is a dream world ability, so if you're not asking this for PO, I'm unsure what to tell you until Poison Heal Gligar is actually released).
    EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
    - Fling
    - Acrobatics
    - Earthquake
    - Protect

You can protect to get the poison heal to start up, and then you can fling the orb off you, increasing the base power of acrobatics to 110 (factoring STAB in, you get 170 base power which will be guaranteed to OHKO Breloom). He also resists the fighting moves loom likes to dish out, and is 3HKO'd by Seed bomb I believe.

Smeargle. Sketch the moves and then breed. :)

I'm looking for a ev spread/ moveset for simisear.

Also, would it be able to pull off a mixed attacker set?

On the crazy hand, it does get nasty plot....

Simisear is awful competitively. Quite honestly, ANY other Fire-type Pokemon outclasses it. (Well, maybe not Magcargo and Torkoal...)

If you're really determined to use it, my best guess would be for you to run a simple 252/252/4 sweeper spread, with Nasty Plot and Fire Blast (whatever it gets) along with coverage moves.
