West of Kanto, the Johto region resides. It is home to 100 species of Pokémon.

Johto Legends - The Second Generation is a club dedicated to our dear generation II Pokémon.
They may not be as nostalgic as those of generation I, or as new as those of generation V,
but these Pokémon will always hold a special place in our hearts. Let's give them some love :D

It's because it's a whole new world we live in :DDD I think that the starters in generation II are unique in the sense that they stay mono-typed instead of developing a second type like other starters. This generation also consists of many awesome pokémon, including the new evolutions of generation I pokémon. and i love silver ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ*:･ﾟ✧

- you may have up to 2 partner pokémon when you sign up.
- your partner pokémon MUST be the first stage of an evolution line as there is an evolution system.
- e.g chikorita ✔ bayleef/meganium ✘
- unless your chosen partner pokémon's pre-evolution is not part of generation II

This section tells you how to earn points. Points collected may be exchanged for prizes such as evolving your Pokémon or upgrading them to their shiny form. They are relatively easy to earn so keep trying and don't give up! :D​

Upon joining this club, each member would be awarded 20 points.

- 2 points for every post made
- 10 points for starting a new topic
- [don't abandon the ongoing one too fast LOL :P]
- 25 points for creating a userbar for the club :D
- 50 points for using a club userbar [per week]
- ?? points for joining or winning events [varies between contests]
- welcoming new members warmly has its benefits.
- every now and then, points will be awarded for staying active.
- there are many other ways to earn points too, so enjoy yourselves! (:

Reason For Joining: Generation II had some amazing Pokemon and some great new content was brought to the table. The idea of baby Pokemon was a wonderful addition, and the Gold and Silver remakes were make favourite games of all! Plus the Johto Pokemon just seem to be very well thought out and interestingly designed, as opposed to other regions such as Unova. It's a whole new world we live in ;D

on topic: I like Ho-oh the most, since it has great design, great concept (rainbows!) and a good stat distribution. Least, however, is Entei. He never grew on me. LOL.

Which legendary Pokémon of generation II do you like most/least and why?

i like lugia the most <3333 especially its shiny sprite :D it's the guardian of the seas while ho-oh is the guardian of the skies. did anyone watch the episode where there was a baby lugia? it's so cute ><

as for entei... well i do like fire types, but it doesn't appeal to me neither :/

unlike many of us the first game i ever played was pokemon firered OTL
i really admired my cousins who had both pokemon crystal and silver.
in the end i had my first try at it on an emulator ^^ but that was many years later:/

I love Entei! It looks so powerful and impressive, a big favourite of mine. And it offers some interesting moves and stats to use as well! Raikou however... To me it looks awful. D: Its design is very unappealing, I think that's mainly due to the purple cloud thing on its back... Without that I think it'd look pretty good!

I was really impressed with how much the Pokémon designs had improved. They had fixed the original designs, so they weren't as super ugly as they had been in the first games, and the new designs were also super good, but there were some exceptions though (Raikou >_<).

i looked it up and here's what i got.

raikou actually looks okay :D oh and i think i take back what i said about entei. this old sprite of entei's reminds me of a large fluffy dog ><
edit: i've been staring at raikou's sprite for the past few minutes and now i think it kind of looks like a walrus LOL :D

@ozzy i think i understand how you find entei appealing now :D i want to hug it! (: and that scizor is such a cutie ><

Which legendary Pokémon of generation II do you like most/least and why?

It's a bit hard choosing from a generation with so few legendaries, but I already know which ones I'm gonna choose.

My favourite legendary from Johto is Lugia. I have a lot of great memories from my time with it, and it was a beast while battling. In a short amount of time it became my all-around favourite Pokémon. Even though it isn't my favourite Pokémon anymore, it still remains as my favourite legendary.

The one I like the least shouldn't really be that hard to guess, even though my opinions on it is a little mixed. Raikou's G/S design is really bad, bad enough to be the legendary I like the least from the second generation. Now, as its design was improved later on, I began to like it more and more, even though I still found its design to be slightly weird. They changed its appearance from ugly to cool-looking imo, as I think Raikou's current design makes it look rather cool. But even with all the improvements, Raikou is still gonna have this place, mainly because its original design was so horrid.

I agree that Raikou looks fine on those pics, but that's also because those are the sprites from Crystal where their designs were improved. I'm not sure if this is even going to change you view, but this is Raikou's sprite from Pokémon Gold.

Pretty ugly if you ask me ;|

Favourite Gen II Pokémon: I've got 3 actually, Skarmory, Scizor and Heracross, mainly ebcause I love the colours and the disgns of all 3, they're cool, steamline and tough. Especially with some of the moves they can learn.
Reason For Joining: I've grown up with the second gen and I will always have a warm spot for it out of all the generations. <3

Firstly, I like the all the legendaries in Johto, they're isn't too many of them nor is their too little, and I've found that they have the most colourful and creative designs out of all generations. B/W ones are disgusting excluding meloetta (can't spell) imo; My favourite either being celebi or Ho-oh as Ho-oh was my first legendary I caught on BGC. For the worst...I'd probably say, none of them. All of they're designs are amazing, and equally beautiful.

I'd say with the baby pokemon, I like..togepi the most. Simply because I love its design which leaves me curious as to what is behind that shell of its.

Raikou for me is meh. Since I never bothered to catch it in any of my game (and that is a lot, GSC, FRLG, and HGSS). Entei meanwhile...

This sprite does not appeal to me. Yes, it looked like this meme.

but i love his BW shiny sprite though!

if entei is only colored like this one, I would love it.

On topic meanwhile:

My favorite would be Togepi, since it is so cute, and is pretty fun to use with Metronome!

i love how he is flailing his arms and such.
