★Project Revamp'd / Devamp'd Dex★​

★Hey guys, today I'll make it quick. I want to make a dedicated(?) project on Revamps and Devamps. It saddens me to think of how many projects were undertaken like this, and how many really flourished. Which is what this is all about. I think everyone here might have known me by now, and I don't like the fact this is only one of the few active Projects which we can undertake. Kudos to the others, BTW.

So, to the point. I'm making a Project of Revamps and Devamps, and I trust you all know how to do them. If not, consider taking a look at Dragonflycave's fantastic tutorials.

Making a revamp is easy, a timepass, and lots of fun! Devamps are similar, too.

So, the current work so far :

and i think you should limit the colours used or something like that, because some guys could want to use our sprites in their games and if we do <16 colours in our works, they can use easier.

In Devamp, you can only use 2 colors with black & white, shades were counted as colors.

Yeah, thanks tajaros! But please refrain from making Crystal sprites as I wish to do them with animation separately after finishing this project's initial stage.

Also NOTE :
I won't be available much for the next two weeks due to my terminal exams, so don't be surprised if I didn't reply here. I'll be back in touch after that, so don't think I'm killing this project. You can post here with your work, and upon my return I'll add it up.

Okay okay, I'll re-open it. My exams are over.

Eeveelution Co-ordinator's sprite has more colours than four. So please make necessary changes.

Here's a Cloyster revamp I did for this project. It's from Silver and Crystal.

And a tip: A revamp takes more work than just simply recolouring. You have to change positions of things to make it accurate like the present sprites. For example, Crobot had no legs in its sprites through generation 2 - 4, but was later fixed in the BW sprites. Not exactly an example for revamp, but you know what I mean.

That revamp looks nice! And you've resized it, I see. Good idea, I'll keep that in mind. And yes, I think it'll be better that way. I think I'll resize devamps from now on, too. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind (and I hope all future contributors will).

Added this sprite. Also, I think you should follow Logeidan's advice, and resize the sprite and make it more up-to-date. This means that all revamps should be enlarged and all devamps shrunk to the GBC & RBGY size. Not only that, all revamps should get better facelifts, body parts, etc. Like you should see the difference of distorted faces between the First and Third Gen. For example, not only did I devamp this Girafarig, I made it into 56x56, which is compatible with the Metal Gen Games.
