"During the Pokémon Game Show, it was announced that a brand new anime will run to coincide with Pokémon XY. This anime is called Pokémon: The Origin, featured Red & Green, and is to run from October 2nd. It's currently unclear if this is a special." - serebii

Other info:

• The Completion Strategy guide will be 262 pages long
• The Story Guide coming out in November will be 600 pages long
• The Kalos Pokédex Guide coming out in December is 800 pages long
• Fire resists Fairy. Fairy takes normal damage from fire.
• Fairy Type confirmed in the TCG
• Running the default movement, and you have to press B to WALK!!!
• You can opt to Mega-Evolve when you choose a move. You can use the move you chose after you Mega Evolve too.
• Mr.Masuda is on stage giving a speech. Photography is prohibited. Though he says that Pikachu's cry in the game will change to the voice from the anime, not just in Pokémon-Amie.
• In the Pokémon Amie feature, there are three stats listed for your Pokémon. Friendliness, Hunger and Play. It's currently unclear whether these features affect gameplay. The sweets you obtain for it are called Pofure or Pofflé. (Sounds like Poffins)
• Sylveon's shiny sprite is blue.
• Skitty and Exeggutor will be featured.

Megalution Battle Controls Display

"During the Pokémon Game Show, it was shown thanks to a picture from a Twitter user, that the method of Mega Evolution is through a simple button in the attack interface when your Pokémon has the Mega Stone attached to it. In the demo, you also ride on a Skiddo in a route and seen riding a Rhyhorn. In it, you also battle Professor Sycamore, where you use Mega Evolution, and battle Shauna & the other character. In the demo, you start off with Alexa telling you to go see Professor Sycamore. On your way there, you battle the rival, with a time limit. Once you get to Professor Sycamore, he will give you Mewtwo and teach you about Mega Evolution, which is just done by a tap of a button with a move the same turn, and he'll then battle you. After the battle, a video runs of the game." - Serebii.​

I like the sound of those numbers though, for the guides that is. I don't buy very many strategy guides (I think the ones I have are Emerald and D/P), but it seems like these will be much longer.

Also, Psywave on Fennekin was something I predicted. It just screamed when I saw it in the first trailer. Nevermind, it gets Psybeam, not Psywave.

Edit: Does that look like a Crobat in the image? I can see Crobat getting a Megalution, but unfortunately it's pretty unclear and I can't translate the moves at all. Nevermind, AGAIN. It's just the camera fooling me. You're really just controlling Mega Mewtwo against the Crobat. But hey, Crobat can still get one. ;)

I am so happy Fennekin, SHOULD be a fire/psychic. I just can't see it being a fighting type with that moveset. Unless GF is really trolling us.

I totally like how we can choose whether we can Mega Evolve, but I can't help but wonder if it'll spend the turn. I hope that Mega Crobat will be interesting.

I think that Quick Attack or ThunderShock will be Helioptile's starting move, and both gain STAB, so that's a bonus.

Fennekin getting a bunch of Psychic moves further cements my hunch that its final evo will be Fire/Psychic. Fire resisting Fairy is a nice touch, giving Fire Pokemon a bit of an easier time switching into battle.

My bad then. Thought the Battle screen was Crobat's.

I really wish that we also got screencaps of the Kalos Pokemon's stats so that we have an idea on how high the Pokemon's stats are.

Since there's a button to allow your Pokémon to mega evolve, so long as it holds a mega stone, has it also confirm that it can constantly switch back to its original forme during battle by pressing the button again?

That is a ton of pages for the Pokedex Guide book. the Black/White 2 pokedex book only had 592 pages or so and Diamond and Pearl had about 482. I am wondering if that is an indication there there will be a lot of new pokemon in the 6th generation. Even if they include mega evolutions in the book, that is still a ton of pages. Even if there is only 1 pokemon per page, that is still over 150 new pokemon.

I read a rumor that there'll be a Wii U game announced close to XY's release...I'll be surprised if it's this early though...
That special, or anime, or whatever it'll be is very nostalgic, brings memories of playing Firered. Apperantly it's a a special...

Fire moves being resistant to Fairy goes along with the leaks/rumors right? Either way I really like that. If Charizard's Mega Evolution is Fire/Dragon then there would be at least one Dragon type resistant to Fairy.

I like that Megas are an optional button on the battle screen. Hopefully we can switch back and forth to it's original form during battle.

Those guide books sound really huge which indicates to me that the story and Pokedex are gonna be huge.

Whatever that game is I'm excited to learn more about it. Looks like the Wii U's equivalent of Stadium/Revolution or Colosseum/X.

Nice to see more info revealed here, although that's a lot for one event. I did sorta see the Fire-being-resistant-to-Fairy thing coming so I guess that's another part of those rumors from months back confirmed, and I was expecting Froakie learning Water Pulse because I remember it using a Water attack on Fennekin in a previous trailer and it certainly looked like Water Pulse to me. Fennekin getting Psybeam was no surprise either, which means I'm definitely seeing that Fire/Psychic rumor being true as well. Nice to see Sylveon and Helioptile have some more moves confirmed, Thundershock was something I saw coming for the latter since it's probably the most common "starting" Electric attack out there.

But the guidebook looks really big from what I've heard, and the screenshot of Shauna in the trainer battle looks really cute indeed. Can't wait to see how some other characters turn out in those scenes. I am still hoping we'll get a massive Pokedex, even more so than B2/W2 which had around 300 Pokemon I think.

And that screenshot of Lucario and Blaziken, I wonder if that's this generation's answer to Stadium/Colosseum/Battle Revolution etc.

It's looking like the Fairy chart rumor may be true then. If so than Ice will be super effective! How many dragon's except for Palkia, Kingdra, and Kyurem learn ice moves?

Look out for more information tomorrow, around the same time. Plus there will be some Pokemon XY content on Smash, but it might just be information that has already been revealed in some fashion.
