Pokemon Bank is linked to your Nintendo Network ID, so unless you have two Nintendo Network IDs, you will be using the same Bank, no matter which DS you use. However, if you do have two Nintendo Network IDs, then yes, you can use the same game with both IDs. Also remember that you only get one Celebi per Nintendo Network ID, not per game.

Thank you:) I do have two Nintendo network id's. So I should be good! Cloning just got one step easier. Woot!

How do we actually buy the subscription? I don't want to wait till the free trail expires before buying one!

Fifteen days before the trial expires, you're supposed to get a notice in Pokémon Bank that your subscription is almost over. That's when you should be able to purchase a new one. At the very least, that's what the digital manual says.

    Hmm, koff~

Anyone else having issues with how the Pokemon Bank functions? It takes way too long to work the damn thing. Transferring Pokemon is a pain, koff~

I've had absolutely no trouble transferring with mine. It may just be because of where you are. if you have poor internet, it may not work as well as if you were in an area with good internet. Mine isn't slow at all and it takes me a few seconds to transfer and save to the bank then switch to my game to accept the transfers.

    Its pretty effortless for me.

Ah; I definitely need the notification.
I was so worried about forgetting about it.

Do they send the notification to your e-mail or does it pops up on the 3DS?

The only issue I have is moving a whole box of them to the first box in my Black to transfer.
Is there a easier way to move all of them over? (I move them all 1 by 1 x.x).

for some reason it is painfully slow to do B/W/2
I see no reason it couldn't have had full compatibility with the other DS games (right back to Diamond/Pearl) from a programming perspective.
    from a marketing perspective however.....

    No, koffi~

You misunderstand. Any issues on how it functions, not if it works in the first place. The steps it takes to use the transfer system is about five too many. Take the cartridge, save, change the cartridge, start the app, save, move the pokemon, save, change the cartridge, etc. Not in that exact order, but you get the idea. Only having one transfer box really kills. That's what I'm talking about. Many steps doth not a good system make. I feel it takes too long for it's own good. Oh, and no touch controls, koff~

Still many times better than previous transfer systems. And I don't really see how it could be improved much. Touch controls are impossible since using both screens is necessary, and transferring 30 Pokemon at a time should be quick enough for anyone. I shudder to think how many Pokemon you must be transferring over if you find that slow. The only possible improvement I can think of is a feature for selecting multiple Pokemon to move at once between the boxes.

Ah yeh, that's the part I am so peeved about.

I wish we can just transfer from ANY box in our BWB2W2 at the very least, I am sure it'd make things easier.

I am hoping the transfer system will be able to get better (Since it says it's going to support future generations, as well.).

For me, I have more than 300 Pokemon in my HeartGold to transfer over; Guess my plan is to just spread it out into 1 box per day until I get done (Procrastination at it's best xD).

Its Still way better than 6 per day, and 6 at a time. Less expensive than buying 2 systems to transfer and easiest version of transfer we have to date.

Christ, that's a lot o_O 50+ transfers to get them to Gen V, then 10+ to get them to Gen VI... good luck with that.

From what I heard, it seems as though only "DSi enhanced" DS games would work with any DSi/3ds software. only the Gen5 games are like that, sadly. =/

</p><p> </p><p>from a purely programming point of view; the system can read the DS cards and write them, it has more than enough hardware potential to run both bank and a Pokémon game like Diamond at once, therefore it could load both sets of data and copy things across. It is a Nintendo choice that this is not the case as we wouldn't pay any extra for this but it would be more work for them.</p>

The data was set from a specific structure. DSi enhanced games are different in structure than DS games, which is why the only DSi game in existence does not work on the DS and DSlite. DSi enhanced uses the DS structure with minor changes to function with DSi camera, a function that only B/W/B2/W2 had in the Pokemon games. Pokebank isn't the first to run this restriction as the PokeRadar has a similar function, though only B2W2 could interact with it on a receiving end.

Though the DSi and beyond can still read DS game software, its still different software. That causes compatibility conflictions. While the Radar could read data that a non-DSi Enhanced game was in the slot, it couldn't pull data from the actual game. It just used the 3DS' reader to check to see that the appropriate game was in the slot and then used its own coding to unlock the special feature it had.

PokeBank appears to run in a similar manner. The transfer system is through DSi enhanced coding so it cannot read DS games. If it were coded to read DS games it most likely wouldn't be able to pull from DSi enhanced games. Adding both could cause a internal confliction similar to what happened with the early models of the PS3 when they could read both PS1 and PS2 game discs. Which resulted in the system not being able to read any game discs btw.

As a collector and breeder, I plan to pay. The extra space is invaluable. I just have to wait until Friday for payday.
I wish we got another event pokemon for signing up for a year. That would be awesome.

Thanks for the reminder! I'm definitely paying for the whole year, I love the Bank :P I'd be a fool not to at that price!
