I was giving this game a try out, and enjoying it greatly for the most part. I didn't get very far... I was close to the beginning where the guy borrows one of my Pokemon to help him catch a Ralts. Afterwards though, we going to challenge me to a battle when the game suddenly crashed. I thought it was just a one time thing, but this happened three times in a row. Is this a common bug?

Which version are you playing?
If you have some older version this bug might not have been removed.

I had the same issue when using a cheat to have master balls in order that catch falinar. The issue was solved when I only had one pokemon in my party (depositing the others)

phew... thaat was a long run... but couldn't help it. the hack was just that much epic to even make me take my time to EV train my pokemon to be fully prepared for the final battles (one reson might be that im on my military service period and there is literally nothing else to do :D). i dunno if someone has even tried that again but here are my prized EV trained fakemons:



Shiny gabby is legit ! that luck

im pretty sure nevidrel can achieve much better stats but dunno if i didnt catch a flurrel with good IV's or i messed up my EV training.

Cheats used:
-master balls. i was too lazy to catch 30 exeggcute the normal way, and i wanted to catch a gabby with good stats faster.
-rare candies. too lazy to do like 400-500 trick house runs
-DEATH RIP. Yes i pretty much consider the usage of that move a cheat :D and it makes that 544 special attack seem so un-needed!

Q: -is the FOSSIL just for show after u finish mirage tower quest? or there is some place to turn it into a prehistoric pokemon?
-is there anything to do at Gento first island except take a ruby fragment and then just do sightseeing?
-Zapdos only appears during event and is not able to be caught, right?

P.S.: i finished the game at 16.4 patch and i now just noticed that there is a (new? old? dunno) 16.5 patch. does it have any noticable difference to make starting over worth it or its just some glitch fiixes and i can just patch it over my existing game?

Congratulations for this epic trilogy and im eagerly waiting for part 4!

beat hevah league first, get the hevah symbol, then talk to leana at rangers base to get a hint of where to find felinar (its more interesting than knowing outright where to find him right?)

Just played the game again and beaten it, doing the Good side story. Still love it. Actually went ahead and replaced most of the normal Pokemon with the DS 64x64 Pokemon sprites from Chaos' thread. I plan on playing the previous games and doing the same thing for the sprites there, like the Gen IV sprites. Compared to the ones used in LoG and RoL, RoL were just bad XD No offense I liked RoL, but giving it a nice little upgrade with the Gen IV sprites that were made from the DS games.

how did you edit pokemon entries at LoG? i tried using pokemon editor pro to check the fakemons base stat values but it was throwing an error 13 in my face. i was able to do it at RoL and RR just fine

Its because LoG has its Game Code changed, Ruby's original code is AXVE and LoG was changed to RDLG. You simply need to go in to the ROM with a hex editor and right at the beginning of the code, you'll see POKEMON RUBYRDLG-01. Just simply change RDLG to AXVE and it should work with Pokemon Editor Pro.

Take the fossil to one of the scientists in the Ranger HQ in Silkwind Path. He'll revive it. ;)

Nothing to do there but to change your in-game time via talking with Celebi~

16.5 just fixes the pyramid NPC that gives you the RD fragments if your BAG was full while you were collecting them.

Compared to the ones used in LoG and RoL, RoL sprites were just bad XD

thanks for the answers. about the last part, i uploaded a screenie at my previous post. for some reason my code is different at 1st column (its like its counting the lines differently) and the last column with the gibberish. its the v16.4 maybe thats the reason?

DJG, when I first played RoL I though at the time, they were okay, but seeing how fare Gen III hacking has come and now that there is a resource for good Pokemon sprites for each gen...yeah, they are just gawdy. XD

Its one of the reasons I want to go and try to edit the PokeDex entries for all the Pokemon that were changed and the cries as well. XD

Wow, so far this is my favorite pokemon hack game. Great storyline. Really like it, i've finished the main story, and now, i'm going to meet the Giratina at the Shadow Valley :3

Since Chaos Rush was able to complete the Gen II Pokemon Sprites in his Sprite Resource, I was finally able to replace Lugia with better sprites. As well as make this custom sprite of Shadow Lugia using the Lugia sprites as a base.

Least these ones look nicer XD Also did the same thing for Reign of Legends and Rescue Rangers in terms of replacing the Pokemon sprites with the new ones XD

I, the Pokemon expert, have gotten stuck in the game, Pokemon Ruby Destiny Life of Guardians, :-( the pink stones, which I love and rely on, stopped telling me what to do and I'm stuck. I chose, what I thought was, the evil path, but I ended in "saving" everyone. Now I need to find the eighth gym badge/symbol. I can't find it though.
