    I got this idea from Peitharchia's thread, but instead... yeah. XD So, how many computers do you have? Who's your service provider? Also, what company and software is your computer? :O

    In my house, all three of us have an apple computer. My mom has one of those really new laptops. I have her hammy down apple laptop, and my dad has a desktop computer. We have mediacom as our internet provider, which is okay... but it could be better. :/ I also have a crappy old HP laptop laying around somewhere, but it's really old and crappy and never gets used anymore.

    Our house has four computers, three of which I use on my own, and one I set up for my mom to learn computer skills on. My primary system is my laptop (Gateway), and I have a desktop system set up in my bedroom as a secondary system and also as a spare in case my laptop breaks down (Dell Dimension). Additionally, I have an old Windows 95 OSR2 machine (Compaq Presario), which I run on occasion just to relive the good 'ol days of Windows 9x.
    My service provider is Frontier. I know, not the best provider in the world, but they've turned out to be pretty sufficient for my needs. (I am in a service area that Verizon (and GTE before that) refused to upgrade to broadband before selling us off to Frontier in 2010, who then installed DSL infrastructure early the following year.) Then again, being in a rural area doesn't give you much of a choice. The only other available providers, Charter and a couple of fixed wireless providers, are also considered 'bottom of the barrel'.
    Apart from the aforementioned Windows 95 machine (which has no network connection), all others are running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.

    My house has two laptop computers; my parents have an HP Compaq C700 that they've owned for over five years. It used to run Windows Vista, but after the first HDD fried, it now runs Windows 7. I have an Acer Aspire v3 571 that dual-boots Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux. Our current ISP is Access Communications, but we are considering switching to a better company.

    Currently, I have three. One's a really old desktop, which I don't even bother touching anymore due to its slowness. Up next is iBook; rarely use this one, since it doesn't have much of a big screen. Though, I do take it with me when going out for vacation and whatnot. As for last, it's a Toshiba laptop. Had it for about a year now, and am pretty content. :] Might have to get it replaced at some point, but hopefully, not any time soon.

    I have my MacBook Pro which is what I do most of my stuff on, and I have an old Dell laptop from late 2010 that's at my parents' house somewhere, but I haven't seen it since last fall. I've looked for it but can't find it ;_; And my parents have a desktop in the TV room, and they have two more Dells in the attic for their own work uses.

    I believe there's 4 laptops in the house; 3 of which are actually mine XD My little collection includes my 13" MacBook Pro, a limited edition HP laptop, and then another HP. I actually never had a legitimate reason for having so many, but the reasons I came up with was that they were both too loud for my liking :c And one of them has a gigantic battery sticking out of its backside so that was annoying >>;; I've had my MacBook Pro for about 2-3 years now; I bought it because I love the aesthetics of Apple products. The only thing I wish I could do on it is play games, which is why I'm planning to build a custom PC within the next couple years or so.

    Both me and my Dad each own 2 computers each, a desktop and laptop. So that's 4 all together. My Desktop is a really sweet gaming rig.. shame I spend 90% of my time on it doing ordinary things. I have this really old laptop my mom gave me, but it's so old and terrible that I almost never use it for anything.

    My dad's laptop and desktop are both pretty standard. Desktop runs XP, laptop runs Windows 7. He's even got things setup so the two computers can network with each other!

    As for our ISP? I have no idea, we have something local, and it's all wireless. Not the best speed in the world, but it sure beats dial-up! But it sucks sometimes, when it's late at night, and I wanna watch anime, but my dad is also watching something online and the whole thing just bugs down slower than a snails pace >.<

    And I'm hoping I can get myself a better laptop that I can do things on.. maybe even some oldr games? maybe? if that's not asking too much? I'd so love to be able to skype and browse PC and stuff while my friend is over and hogging the computer for games...

    I have several. Most haven't been turned on for a few years and probably will remain inactive until I get my own place. They may remain off even after that depending on how expensive electricity is; some of them are quite old and I may just buy some lightweight hardware to do what I want, or possibly just build a single desktop and run a hypervisor or something.

    As for ones that I currently use, I have a laptop and a desktop, and I only use the laptop occasionally. I also have my work laptop, which I use at work. The laptop is an ASUS, the desktop is self-built, and the work laptop's a Dell. Everything runs Windows 7, though I run a few VMs for various purposes. ISP is Comcast.

    I have one laptop. It's VAIO E Series, the system is Windows 8 single language. And my ISP is China Telecom.

    Although there are 3 desktops here, only I primarily use mine. I bought it Spring 2012 using scholarship money. It's HP something, good yet inexpensive. I'd say it is the best computer in the house. Oh man, I wish I knew anything about computer specs. It's probably just alright for my shenanigans, though. Meanwhile, my brother's desktop pc is over 8 years old and my dad's desktop pc is probably around 15 years old. I suppose the ISP is AT&T. We've been using that for a long time, too. I remember the days of dial-up too

    Before getting my desktop that I love very much, I had a Toshiba laptop that I hated very much. It would often freeze in the middle of homework or it couldn't run Skype & play music at the same time. Nobody uses it anymore. My dad also found 2 somewhat busted-up laptops at work, and my brother made them work again. My parents use them sometimes when they want to look up something on the internet.

    My brother and I each bought HP mini netbooks in Fall 2010 using our scholarship money. It was a neat little thing to use in class, but it did not age well. I don't use it anymore. I think my brother even disassembled it...

    1 desktop -> my lord, my savior
    2 desktops -> junk
    2 netbooks -> junk
    3 laptops -> junk

    If you're only considering the ones that work, we've got three laptops (one for each of us). Other than that, we've got at least 3 old desktop towers in our basement somewhere, none of which work anymore.

    I've personally got an Acer Aspier laptop that I bought exactly 5 months ago today, while my sister has an HP laptop running Windows 8, and my dad has a Dell laptop that's a few years old, and running Windows 7. Neither of their laptops are all that great, but I did quite a bit of scouting when looking for mine, and most of its specs are comparable to that of a good desktop computer.

    As for our ISP, we use Telus, which is really one of our 2 options locally. It's not all that great, but basically on par with the Shaw internet we had a few years ago.

    Uuhhh...

    Each person in this house has their own desktop and their own laptop. Then we have a media PC in the living room that we all use. It's hooked up to the TV and it's our torrent box and our "let's order food online because I don't feel like cooking and we'll all look at the options :/" box. It's an old... Gateway computer? I think? That we've been switching out parts for here and there. It runs Windows 8 and we all hate the OS lol.

    As for my own computers, I have an old first-run unibody Macbook Pro. It's a hand-me-down from my roommate when he got his old new computer (he's on his second Mac upgrade since then @_@) and it still works well. It runs Snow Leopard. My desktop is mainly a custom build by now but it's ageing so I probably couldn't tell you its specs, but it runs Windows 7 and swapping in an SSD a few years ago was the best decision I ever made. :D The last thing I own is an MSI Wind U100 netbook that I haven't touched or booted up in years. I think it dual-boots Windows 7 and... Ubuntu, maybe? I forget which Linux distro it got. I haven't even seen the thing in a year or more; it's tucked away in a box somewhere.

    Our ISP is Teksavvy and while I wish the speeds were better, I'll take the unlimited bandwidth over the terrible caps of the Big Three here.
