I received a Ralts knowing "Destiny Bond", in a Dream Ball, with its hidden ability of Telepathy. It's not the original; this one was bred in Kalos on February 7 according to the summary. I'm not complaining.

Thanks to Wonder Trade, I have received so many level 1 Pokemon with high IV's. Currently breeding for a good Honedge.

  • Dumping scatterbugs holding random stuff in WT.

It's jungle. Please don't kill me.

I never get Chespin and Bulbasuar though. Just loads of charmander, froakie.

What I present here might interest you and I think it's a good discussion for this thread, and in fact matches your remark. Comment below.

Someone showed me his data for Wonder Trade. I've included minimal data that I note below. As of right now, and with me ordering based on my experience for the noted ties, the Top 10 includes:

#10 - Scatterbug. Scatterbug trading in general is popular for the many Vivillon. Sorry, no Poké Ball Vivillon included.

#9 - Bunnelby. Caught early, nothing special, just a Pickup acquisition like other generations. This tied for #8.

#8 - Ralts. A popular breeding project for new Champions and old. I actually bred for a Timid one in Gen. V for someone and ended up with a boxful, which I sent out myself. Six more in my next session!

#7 - Furfrou. Not as early (Route 5), but I guess styling is popular.

#6 - Flabébé. I must confess I send out some white and orange ones, myself. Five today, in fact. This tied for 5th.

#5 - Charmander. Another popular breeding project, especially for Egg Move experiments. I just got a Charmander with four different Egg Moves today, quite a challenge to put together. I for one bow to our Japanese Pokélords. (In case you're wondering why I say that, it's tagged JPN.)

#4 - Honedge. Do I need to explain why Aegislash is so popular?

#3 - Eevee. Here is where I reorder the top entries using my data from today. I got an Eevee, which tied with #2 in the charted data, and I'm not surprised since Sylveon is clearly popular (or is it the other seven?). They sometimes come with Charm learned at birth for immediate Lv.2 evolution with two Hearts in Pokémon Amie. Oddly, I don't get too many, but I did get an Anticipation one once. Still have it untouched.

#2 - Fletchling. I'm tired of these guys, but they are the first early-catch bird to use Fire as a typing. I haven't seen any special breeding projects come through for them, however.

#1 - Froakie. Apparently, Protean is good for you! This didn't lead the chart, but I got two more today and was not letting this rank any lower than #1. This seems to be my most common receipt, and I have two or three Protean and some others with Egg Moves. I'll experiment later breeding-wise, but don't know if I should send the results. What I hate is getting them without Egg Moves or Protean; seriously, I don't need those.

Honorable Mentions: Pidgey and Luvdisc tied for 10th and thus get mentioned here. Pidgey is an early catch and frequently seen by me, though this depends on the time of day. I also have a couple of WT Luvdisc from Ambrette Town. I know these may be newer players trying out WT for the first time and being shocked to get a 5IV Froakie with Protean for their measly offering (and if someone's sending that, you know they're breeding for 6IV).

Comment: The data shows two Bulbasaur and one Chespin among the trades. I don't think I've seen Chespin recently (I got mine from Shauna, and think I have a second somewhere), but I have an Egg Move Bulbasaur in my PC somewhere from Wonder Trade to keep my Lv.100 Venusaur company.

Does this data generally match your list, folks? Discuss, and of course keep bringing up the cool things you get!

People are breeding Fletchling for their hidden ability. In fact, I got some with Gale Wings and good IVs. I agree that the vast majority are early route catches though.

    I actually had a full box of WT Kalos starters a while back. Almost all Froakie (Protean and regular), 6 Fennekin (one was very lovely, with good IVs and four egg moves), and only a couple of Chespin. I was convinced that the poor little guy was not getting much love, until I realized that one of them had 6 perfect IVs. So now he's getting a lot of love, from all the females I pair him with in the daycare {XD}

I also had a full box of non-Kalos starters. Half Charmander, and the other half mostly Torchic with a mix of all the other starters. And look, one Bulbasaur.

It's funny, but I like sending off the results of my breeding experiments, too! I have a 5IV Vullaby and a male 5IV Skarmory in the daycare right now busy making sure all of their babies are Egged with Steel Wing, so I will be trading some of the 2IV, 3IV, and 4IV results this evening!

  • Normally, because of my replays from older generations of games, and of that sort; I get extra legendaries, so I just put them up on wonder trade.

Considering I've already got one, That's good enough for me.

It's especially nice when I send it to a new player to the pokemon commmunity (no pun intended) and its just all un-expected.

  • I haven't received anything super awesome like a legendary or shiny, mostly just Lv 1 Eevee and other things people have been breeding with the odd 5IV every now and then, but I did get a Togepi today, which I think is pretty darn cool as I was really wanting one.

I sent out a couple of Dream Radar Togepi the other day, and today sent out some Igglybuff and Sigilyph among the boxful of trades I made. Togepi is a great WT, and one any recipient must work to evolve. As long as they don't come at a high level, there's lots of time to get Togetic, then you have the stone evolution to Togekiss.

I even sent two rows of Vullaby out, knowing Steel Wing. I have more to trade tomorrow, and might be doing a Buizel breeding project very briefly.

I have wondertraded a ton of level 1 Pokemon with good IV stats. I sent like 30 snivys, 50 honedge, and like 40 furfrou (people must have been confused for these).

  • Received a 6IV Ditto for my random low IV Growlithe. Too bad it wasn't foreign, but holy turd!
Praying that I'll be lucky and get to flood the WT with fire breathing dogs.

Random question: How many boxes do you have just for Wonder Trading?

Random question: How many boxes do you have just for Wonder Trading?
I just routinely go through the PC and find things to put in my trade box. Last nite I traded off a box, sorted through the arrivals, then realized the trick to marking perfect IVs in the PC after my "1IV" and "2IV" boxes both got full. so I started doing that with the 1IV/2IV spillover, the 3IV, 4IV, 5IV, my 6IV Vullaby, and a box of foreigns (which will be the one box I maintain in some form in Bank, having them all there for future Masuda Method breeding with the Shiny Charm). Meanwhile, I wound up putting another full box together for trade from my own Pokémon (not using any WT receipts). I plan to sort through the 2IV and 1IV this morning and then start merging everything into the Bank in some way, starting with the foreign entries in each of the IV boxes (the boxes can stay for now). Too bad we don't have a 7th and 8th icon to use for "foreign" or "DW/HA"!

  • Just out of curiosity, to the people who seem to score amazing pick ups in wonder trade, how many wonder trades do you do per day on average?

  • Overall I think wonder trade is a great thing, I have already used it to do a wonderlock (you only use pokemon that you get off wonder trade). This resulted in the weirdest team I have ever had:
    Dragonite
    Shuckle
    Golduck
    Vivillon
Tyranitar (got a level 100 off wonder trade =D )
    Espeon
This, may I say, was one of the best experiences of my life as a pokemon fan. Never before would I have used a team like this (well, I usually have a Espeon...) and it was great fun to finish the game with them.
I try to be nice when I do use wonder trade, giving away different gen starters and other hard to obtain pokemon such as Zebstrika, Axew and Natu. Sometimes you get trash like pidgeys and bidoofs. But then you get really cool things like a level 100 Tyranitar. So, I think wonder trade is a great addition to pokemon and I can't wait to use it in later versions of pokemon! ;P

Pokémon has a funny habit of removing great features when advancing generations. Just saying
