If you had the opportunity to create your own Pokémon ability at some point in future, would you accept, and if so, what kind of ability would you make? How would it function? What would you call it? Which Pokémon would be able to get a hold of it?

Me—yes, definitely. I'd likely create an ability called Mind Games. This would behave similarly as Intimidate, but instead of lowering Attack stat upon switch, it would be Special Attack. A majority of psychic-types would be having this ability, as well as some dark and ghost ones.

Another ability I would make is Courage. Thanks to this, every time we take down an opposing Pokémon, our Special Attack stat would be raised by one stage.

Intimidate and Moxie but with Sp.Atk, Nice. We need those Abilities ASAP. "Mind Games" needs work on the name though :)

Ummm... Adrenaline - When a Pokemon with this ability is the last one standing, it raises his Speed and Attack by one stage.

Sharp Edge (Meant for Mega Gallade, Bisharp, and Farfetch'd): Increases the power of cutting moves (Cut, night slash, leaf blade, anything that sounds sharp)

Krieg (Meant for pokemon that currently have rock head and reckless): Recoil and recharge moves are given priority

Forced Bond: When this pokemon faints, the opponent pokemon's highest stat is reduced by one stage

Storm Wind (Meant for various flying type attackers, such as braviary): The user's flying-type attacks change type with the weather (Fire for sun, water for rain, ice for hail, rock for sandstorm)

Oil Skin (Meant for muk and garbodor): If the user is hit by a fire attack, all its contact attacks have a 20% chance to burn. Effect runs out when pokemon is switched out

Dark Shadow (For Darkrai and gastly line): Dark type moves go through protect and detect for the entire team for five turns after switch-in, sucker punch can be used without the opponent trying to attack

Divine Truth (Meant for arceus and mew): Dark and fighting type attacks have their power reduced, normal type attacks are strengthened

    Drifter
    - Absorbs water attacks to heal self, then returns to its Pokéball (or runs away if it's a wild Pokémon)

Sizzler, the pokemon with this ability would have its speed doubled if it looses it 2/3 of its HP

    Slowdown:
    - the Pokemon summons a dimension where time is reversed
    - additional notes: same as wheather inducing abilities, but with Trickroom
    - prominent Pokemon: Porygon-line, Dialga

    Support:
    - as long as this Pokemon is on the field, it's partners get a boost in Attack and Special Attack
    - additional notes: cannot be stacked with other Pokemon on the field that have the same ability
    - prominent Pokemon: Plusle, Minun, both Nidoran-lines

    Limiter:
    - Attack is halved for the first three turns; Pokemon takes more damage from Electric type attacks
    - Prominent Pokemon: Regigigas

    Defender:
    - the Pokemon takes less damage when HP is below 1/3
    - additional notes: it's basically a reversed Multiscale
    - Prominent Pokemon: Tirtouga-line, Squitle-line

Overload would be rather helpful on certain Pokémon, I imagine, such as Manectric; they seem to go sort of unused when it comes to the competitive scene, and this would likely raise their awareness.

Anyhow, I've ran into two other ability ideas, I thought I should share! First would be Recovery, which would allow the Pokémon to restore a bit of its health (two-fourths, perhaps) during every single turn. Though, it does have a negative side-effect; those that have this ability cannot be holding any recovery items, such as Leftovers. If they do, the item's power will be negated.

My second idea is called "Super Special." Whenever the user gets struck by any special-based attack that it is super-effective against, its Special Attack and Special Defense stats would be raised by one stage.

Blinding Light: The pokemon reduces the target pokemon's accuracy by 1 stage.
Quick Movement: The pokemon's turn 2 moves would hit turn 1 instead.
Inner Defense: The pokemon raises it's defense/Sp Def by 1 when hit by either a atk/sp.atk super effective move.

Chew Up (Tyrunt line, Sharpedo, mega glalie): This pokemon's biting attacks will restore its own HP by 1/3 of the damage they do

Bellow (Noivern, Exploud, various bug-types): This pokemon's sound based moves are boosted to 1.3X their power

Magma (Slugma line, Numel line, Magby line): When the pokemon is hit by a water or ice type move, their fire type is removed (If that leaves it typeless, then it becomes pure ground)

Bounce Back (Lopunny, diggersby, cinccino, azumarill): If this pokemon's move misses, its next move is given priority and can't miss

I like this idea!! Some of the abilities listed in this thread are actually really unique! I've come up with a few myself too! Let me know which ones ya like!!

So check this out , right?!

Maneuverability: Avoids multi-hit attacks(Fury Attack, Rock Tomb, Bullet Seed, etc.), "Locked in" attacks(Rollout, Thrash, Outrage), 2-turn attacks(Solarbeam unless under sun, Razor Wind, Skull Bash), consecutive attacks in Double/Triple battles(so you won't get "ganged up" on the second attack will always miss unless it's moves like Aerial Ace, Swift, etc.)! Also applies to Beat Up and Pokemon with the
    Skill Link ability!!
Examples: Sentret line, Aipom line, Spoink line, Pansage/Pansear/Panpour lines!!

Heavyweight: All physical attacks by user are STAB(no matter what type the attack) but user takes 50% recoil damage. If the attack is already STAB then it gets an additional 1.1x boost!
Examples: Snorlax, Wailmer line, Metagross, Beartic!!

Leech: Steals 1/8 of foe's HP every turn user is in battle!!
Examples: Paras line, Spinarak line, Venipede line, Joltik line

Aerodynamic: Boosts user's Speed after it uses a Flying-type move by one stage!
Examples: Spearow line, Zubat line, Scizor, Taillow line, Latias/Latios

Bloom: Boosts Def & Sp.Def by two stages of all Grass-types in battles! Both user & foe!
Examples: Oddish line, Chikorita line, Lileep line, Shaymin(land forme), Petalili line

Authority: Gives user top priority in battle(even if foe uses priority moves user still strikes first no matter what)!
    Examples:Seaking, Kingdra, Slowking, Slaking, Entei/Raikou/Suicune

Energy Boost: Has a 20% chance of raising user & allies' Sp.Atk & Speed if it uses a special attack!!
Examples:Exeggcute line, Espeon, Seedot line, Tropius!

Veil: Prevents any non-direct attacking move from foe(entry hazards, status ailments, stat boosting/reducing moves, etc.)!
Examples: Dratini line, Bagon line, Gible line, Axew line!!

Healing Factor: Heals 1/8 of user's HP every turn it takes damage!!
Examples: Happiny line, Staryu line, Cleffa line, Gardevoir, Celebi, Audino

Girth: Ups user's Attack & Defense by two stages at half it's Max HP!
Examples: Mankey line, Teddiursa line, Makuhita line, Riolu line, Throh

Disability: Prevents foe's ability upon user switching in & already in battle!
Examples: Slowpoke/Slowbro, Shuppet line, Absol, Wyanut line

Reaper: Heals 25% of user's Max HP if foe faints!
Examples: Duskull line, Misdreavus line, Sableye, Murkrow line, Vullaby line, Darkrai

Almighty: User is immune to all physical attacks!!
Examples: Mewtwo, Mew, Deoxys, Rayquaza, Arceus, Reshiram, Zekrom

Phew!! Just what I had at the top of my head! If you know any more examples then be sure to post them yourself!

That's a really great ability, man! But I think it should be two stages instead of one just in case your foe outnumbers you plus, you would be a force to be reckoned with that could quickly change the tide of the battle and turn the tables in your favor!!

Pokemon examples: Tauros, Tyrogue/Hitmonchan/Hitmontop, Phanpy line, Meditite line, Scraggy line, Timburr line, Miefoo line, Drilbur line!!

Courage: if the pokemon with this ability is facing a opponent of higher level or type advantage ( Eg fire pokemon on water type) it's speed, attack & defence will be risen but theopanants chance of critical attacks will be increased.

This is designed for Pokemon such as galade, lucario and possibly some birds like pidgy (and evos obviously)

It is also based for physical hitting pokemon since courage is going to make you hit harder and run faster not make your hyper beam more effective

This ability could also be calledUnderdog Courage

    Hope you enjoy ^_^

Temporal Drift - An ability for Dialga specifically, it allows him to go first even if the opponent uses moves such as Protect and Detect.

I would assume Bellow would double the effects of moves such as Growl, Howl, and Screech.

Enrage: All direct damage dealing attacks from quadruped Pokemon have a chance to make the opponent's Pokemon flinch (double chance for attacks that already causes flinching)

Life Bind (Ghost type only): If the Pokemon is affected by a status effect and faints while it still have the status effect, it brings down the opponent's Pokemon with it.

Climate Reverse: Reverses the weather climate. For example, turns Intense Sunlight turns into Rain, Sandstorm turns into Hail and vice-versa.

Leech: Steals 1/4 of foe's HP very turn user is in battle!!
Examples: Paras line, Spinarak line, Venipede line, Joltik line

Healing Factor: Heals 1/4 of user's HP very turn in battle!!
Examples: Happiny line, Cleffa line, Gardevoir, Celebi, Audino

Reaper: Heals 50% of user's Max HP if foe faints!
Examples: Duskull line, Misdreavus line, Sableye, Murkrow line, Vullaby line, Darkrai

I'm all for healing abilities, but these are just a little too OP. 1/4 HP is too much to be gaining or losing passively each turn, especially for somewhat tanky pokemon like blissey, darkrai, and clefable. Though that amount might work for reaper.

Bloom: Boosts Def & Sp.Def by two stages of all Grass-types in battles! Both user & foe!
Examples: Oddish line, Chikorita line, Lileep line, Petalili line

This one is a really good idea, though. A+
Shaymin's land forme could certainly benefit from it as well.

How would Climate Reverse affect Delta Stream?

Are 2-turn attacks not affected by this abilty if the opponent has a Power Herb?
