  • The only things I can really say that I collect are video games. I'm not the type of person to just trade in a game as soon as I finish it - even if I know I'll likely never play it again, it goes on my shelf to be displayed. The only time I'll trade in a game is if I know I'm never going to play it and I really don't want it as part of my collection either. I rarely pay full price for games - most of the games I own I've gotten good deals that I couldn't pass up, and I've amassed a huge backlog of games to play because of it. Thankfully I've backed off buying quite so many games recently, so I can play what I have and only buy games I really want and know I'll play immediately.

I need more display space though...I've had to resort to putting my handheld games in another place and my game shelf is still filling up.

  • I don't collect anything right now, as I'm trying to be smart with my money, but I used to collect Magic cards, and still have all of my decks and trades. I still do trade once in a while, and receive cards as gifts, so I guess it's still something I collect, just not as quickly.

Other than Magic cards, I don't think there's ever something I really collected. I'm not really into that sort of stuff, but having the largest collection of personal roller coasters wouldn't be a bad thing, haha.

  • I collect video games. I've kept the boxes for all of my games bought for the N64, GBA, DS, GameCube, Wii, Ps3, and 3ds on my bookshelf. I had the box to Blue saved, but someone threw it out. D:

I also collect stuffed animals. I used to have at least 25 smaller ones on the top of my bookshelf, but I put many of them in the attic now. I keep out five now - Sonic was gifted in 2007 when I won the Pokemon battle revolution tournament at Gamestop. Tails and Knuckles were gifted in 2012 when I met Ever stone from Smogon. Hope the cat was gifted by my best friend on my 13th birthday in 2005. Kassandra the rottweiler was purchased at Toys r us in 1999 after my puppy passed away earlier that year.

    ...nobody visits me.

  • Well when I was a kid I used to collect Pokemon cards, Yugioh cards, tazos and all sorts of school yard things. I used to collect gems too; Amethyst, Gold etc. Nowadays I don't really collect anything...aside from watches but of course, $$$.

  • I collect the following items:

*Car dealership brochures. My oldest dates back to 1978. (Chrysler LeBaron)
*Hotel directories. My oldest is a 1979 Quality Inn directory.
    *Hotel "rack" brochures/cards.
*Other various items from hotels, including pens, notepads, do not disturb signs, cups, key card packets/folders, etc.
    *Business cards.
    *Road maps.
*Scale die-cast car/truck models. Surprisingly, I still need to add a Buick to this collection.
*Anime character figurines. I really need a glass display case for all of them.
*Anime DVDs. For really good series, I like having a physical copy even if it's a series I've watched streaming before.
    *Manga volumes.
*Other anime goods, like clear file cases, pencil boards, keychains, etc.
*And, if digital collections are included, I have a whole lot of anime episodes and pictures of anime girls saved on my computer.

I posted this before in my blog, but here's a picture of just a small bit of my anime figure collection:
    Spoiler:

Note that the Serena figure is the ONLY Pokemon-related item in ANY of the physical item collections.

Quality Inn, naturally, appears in more of these collections than anything else.

  • When I was young (up to about age 14) I collected stuffed toys. I think I amassed about 100 in the end. I think I learnt about the pointlessness of that sort of collection and therefore have not replicated it since... although, I'm starting to think I might be an animal collector.

I currently have two cats, a catfish and a worm farm (they count!), but within the next 6 months they're going to be joined by 3 chickens (the coop is already in the backyard) and stick insects. There are also plans to add two dogs to the mix, but that's further down the track when we're 100% certain our fence line is impenetrable by clever dogs.

I've also had numerous other types of pets over the years including rabbits, mice and rats.

back in the day i would collect rocks. no lie i had the dopest collection of rocks a 10 year old could have, i even found a fossil (it's actually an odd story). now i'm too broke for collections but if did collect something it would probably be watches, i've had a recent obsession of watches. i'd probably also collect coffee cups.

  • I guess you could say I collect figures (Action Figures from movies/games I like, plastic figurines, and the like, for display), but honestly, it's less a hobby and more just me picking up things I see that'll look good in my room from time to time. I also have a few replicas, like a portal gun and a Molag Bal statue I got from ESO, but they're a bit too expensive for me to afford enough to form a collection.

I used to collect manga pocket books :3 in high school. I stopped when I had a shortage of money and didn't pick it up again, but I did love to show them off haha. My friends collected them too for a while but I got ahead of them and was kind of proud.

Nowadays... I don't think I collect anything. Except maybe Doctor Who avatars for use on forums haha. I guess I do show them off!

I do have a collection of video games, but it really isn't anything to show off at this point. (I think I have about 190 games. Something like that.) I'd definitely put more money into it if I could, but I don't have a job.

yeah I used to do this too, but my collection was pretty measly. I think I got some sand dollars so I guess that's kind of cool.

also I'm going to start collecting shot glasses even though I don't drink..... so....
