As we all know by now Serena have changed her appearance. Her long hair is now gone, unlucky for me because I liked it :(
The dress is okay for me! She fits in it and I like that she used the present she got from Ash!

What do you guys think?

Honestly , I would prefer if they just change Serena's sideswept with Bang instate of cutting her hair ! That would have been enough .
Trust me , Serena with newer bang & Ponytail would be much better .

But anyways, I do like the new Serena. In Asian countries, cutting your hair is a big deal since it signifies change and starting anew, and that was what Serena wanted to do after her loss in the Coumarine Showcase (she lost because Fennekin tripped on her ribbon) and show her new fresh start as a Pokemon Performer.

The only gripe I have with the new outfit is that opening that reveals a black undershirt in the dress, and the boots aren't really that good, but all and all she looks adorable, especially if the fanart of it is something to go by.

Personally I like Serena's new design somewhat better, even though sometimes I need to getting used to it (still thinking of Serena's old design at some point), and I like how Serena started a new point of view as she cut her hair and ties to her past, and moving on to her new ambition as Pokémon Performer.

I'll just quote myself on how I feel about it to save time:

................... This is by far one of the most depressing, if not the most depressing, episode I've ever watched. Not only did Serena lost on her first time, but she cuts her beautiful long hair in shame. I agree with Bonnie, hair styles bring a certain charm to some female characters. Misty and May look better with short hair, while Dawn and Serena look better with long hair. Because the anime is still in the period where Ash is 10, meaning no time-skip, Serena's haircut is going to stay like that for the rest of the series, seeing as it'll take years to grow it back to the way it was before. Now she's going to look awful in the various outfits she wore in the past and will be wearing in the future, including the outfits from the ending credits and, *sigh*, her fanservice outfits, because long hair is required to maximize the appeal of those outfits. Just when I thought the producers were going on the right direction with her goal, they decided to screw it up again. On the bright side, at least Dawn now has no competition and will remain on top as the cutest.

Despite trying to get it off of my head by thinking about Smash (specifically Bowser, Bowser Jr., Little Mac, and Shulk), but it keeps coming back to haunt me. It's been affecting my life and fantasies. The sooner the Kalos saga ends, the sooner we'll be through with short-haired Serena.

It's not bad tbh, but as Pinkie said, the first design was just much better. The new design fits here personality more, and it looks good on her. The long hair will be missed tho.

I like that she changed her hair and outfit. Since you can change your hair and outfits in XY, it's nice that they showcased it a little (although..you can't buy the same clothes in the games). It would be cool if she changes her look again, as well.

Maybe it's because I am a fan of short hair, having short hair herself, but I love Serena's shorter hair. Her long hair was nice too, but I looove her new outfit way more than her old outfit and I just don't think it would have worked well if she stuck with her long hair. And I personally think it was a good step in her development to do something like that.

Well , Her new hairstyle didn't really give her the ''Unique Cuteness/attractiveness'' .
I mean , She is Cute but not in a Unique way.
As Unique Way , I meant Those Anime girl who has a simple design yet they look so much attractive then any other girl appearing in the show that you can't take you eye off them.

''May'' is one of them ! Her design is So simple yet she look way more attractive then any other girl in the Anime series.
There are other girl with Unique cuteness ! You can say that They are cute in a more Unique way.
I don't know how the Animator make them so attractive .

Truth is , Whenever A hot woman like Alexa or Viola appear , Serena's attractiveness decreases.
That New haristyle didn't do any Good Because now she can't appear with her ponytail.
And Serena look cuter in her ponytail .

I haven't decided yet, to be honest. Both are pretty good, although I tend to think that the new short hair is less unique and memorable

I would prefer if Serena hair grow slightly longer like this--

May be , Serena can temporally leave the group to train in ''Battle Maison'' after Ash get hurt to protect her and she reappear with grown hair to save Ash from a Team Flare Commander attack.
Serena current character remind me off ''Alternate Yuki Nageto'' from ''The disappearance of Yuki Nageto'' But unfortunately Pokemon Anime doesn't have a bizarre Character and interaction from her character to shine.

It was no exaggeration. The haircut scene keeps popping up to interrupt my focus on driving or on what I'm currently daydreaming, and it messes up my dream crossover series with Mario, DK, Zelda, and Pokémon.
