Anyway, may I give you some tips and basics?
Hiragana: More commonly used in sentences and phrases.
Katakana: Used in names, places, "english-sound words" (like Terebi meaning Television) More common in daily life.
Kanji: Don't be disappointed if you aren't able to learn a lot of this O_O I've lived in Japan for about 3 years and yet I still can't even memorize 5. Some people have Kanji that are used to represent their names. Not everyone has one.
Well, that's most of what I know...or knew O_O I already forgot almost half the katakana already XD even though it's been only 6 months away from Japan. Some of this info may be inaccurate due to my memory -_- So I suppose you can google it or something. Japanese, in my opinion, is harder than any other language I've learned so far. *sigh* I already miss Japan...
