I have X, Y and two 3DSes, can I trade an egg from one game to the other?

Starter-dependent "events?" I know that only one of the is available based on your starter choice, but are there any other starter-dependent "events?" I just started both games, but it's so much easier to trade for the starter I want if certain legendaries are only available with certain starters.
