Hey I just made it to the Battle Frontier, and I have a couple of questions:
1. There seems to be additional walls in the frontier, making the player have to go counterclock-wise to reach the Battle Dome. Why is this, and if it in't important, can I remove it?
2. I did everything in the video on...
Yeah, they sort of helped, but I don't know if all the values and steps in those resources apply to inserting a World Map, or if there are special steps needed.
Anyways, as of right now I have a fully coloured map at the size of 240x160 px.
I'm making a World Map using UNLZ and NTME. The pallettes have me confused a bit and I keep getting errors, but I want to clear up one thing at a time.
So, first of all, does your tileset have to be a certain size?
Second, should the tiles be back/white, real colours, or the messed up colours...
But is Pokescript limiting me in any way? Are there scripts that only can be done in XSE and not Pokescript?
Also, the things that can be done simpler in XSE, were they originally really complicated, or is it simply condensing commands like from:
message $talk
$talk 1 = Hello.
boxset 6to...
Is there a difference in what you can accomplish by using XSE or Pokescript? XSE seems to be a very helpful program, but all the tutorials I find for it seem to be outdated, and I can't even get a simple yes/no message to work.
Everything I've tried with Pokescript has worked perfectly so far...
I want to make my gym battles unique, and have some ideas:
1. Number of Pokemon Limit
a) Is it possible to make the gym leader ask the player to pick a # pokemon to use and commence the battle? Basically like it does at the Battle Frontier?
b) If the above isn't possible, is there a way to...
3 warps
I'm just starting to practice scripting and mapping using Advance Map, and I was just wondering why there are 3 warp tiles in front of the exits. Only the middle warp tile seems to be used in game.
