I have previously looked up ROM bases but found too many options. Could someone point me to a Fire Red Base with no scripts in it? Or do they not work that way?
Sounds like each map uses different Tilesets and the mismatched tiles are within view of the border. You should buffer, 8 tiles horizontally and 6 vertically, on the connection of 2 maps. That means only use tiles that are from the same set within your buffer space.
This time it doesn't loop. All I get after the script finishes I cannot move or use Start menu. But the animations and music continue. Have you tried the script? Does it work for you?

I tried your solution and it brings me to a loop after the battle where at the end of the script it loops to the Dialogue after the battle and goes through the script again.
