I agree. Here, I made the body very slightly blue, changed the legs slightly to match, and made the pincers blue as well. I can't do shading, so :P

Right now our priorities are on mapping (tiling) and spriting. Things like battle backgrounds haven't really been thought about yet.

He's not in any way a vulture, though. I think Thylados fits really well. I don't think it should just be a translated word. It's too obvious. And MorallyIncorrect was right, he looks kinda dopey and primative. Not like a bird of prey.

Avis has the same problem of sounding too simple and elegant. What about Thylados? I think that works well. Also, new line:

Typing should be Flying/Psychic, or just Flying. For a name, I'm thinking Thylanous? Someone who knows how to sprite should start with the shading, and maybe add more detail too.
